Default Spec Stage 3+ ??

Getting the tranny fixed and I found a tuner. Since the trans is out I was thinking about the clutch and when I told my tuner what mods I had he recommended the Spec Stage 3+. I know it's a good clutch, but can I go too far with it?

My car is an 02 SS with an LS1 with custom heads with 2.02" intakes 59cc chambers ported etc., a Futral F14 cam pro gold dual springs, long tubes and straight pipes.

I wish I had money for an aluminum flywheel

The clutch is rated at 750 RWTQ. I think even a very strong heads and cam is still going to leave you quite aways away from being close to that power level.

It's a great clutch to have and drive. I have it in my boosted LT1 car in my sig and love it.

Our 3+ will provide plenty of capacity and great drivability too. It would be an awesome option for you. Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to assist you. Thanks,

Stage 2+ is rated to over 780lb.-ft at the crank for the LS1 based kit.

Does the stage 2+ have chatter, in some pics ive seen looks like its not a true puck design a full disc with ceramic or kevlar every couple of inches but not sure.

The 2+ uses a carbon-graphite semi-metallic puck on one side and a segmented kevlar on the other. This is not technically full-faced but the engagement will be very smooth, like what you would expect from a full-faced disc. I run a 2+ in my daily (and have used the 2+ in my last 4 cars). It is one of my favorite kits that we build.
