Bouncyness is from the shocks not being able to control the springs, no surprise those springs are way too low, arguably the worst springs you can buy for these cars (too low and not enough rate).
Seriously buy new (good) springs, it will be worth it.

If you want a half inch or so, assuming you have the isolators in the rear, do the hose mod and that should add *maybe* a half inch. For the fronts, talk to Ryan @ UMI and he can send you some aluminum spacers that go between the shock and lower a-arm that will give you a half inch

also, for the bouncyness, search for the JasonWW upper shock mount mod. It will put the shock in its proper operating range...may not completely cure it but will help quite a bit

Get new springs. The Sportlines are garbage.

Best decision you ever made. I have the Strano springs and love them! My car rides smooth as silk too

The "upper mount mod" doesn't lower the car at all. You cut the upper mount some, giving the shock more travel.

Going from sportlines won't fix bounciness. It will solve some suspension travel issues and give you a better stiffer more appropriate springrate and ride height with a good balance. They will still bounce if you don't have shocks to dampen the oscillation. They will just bounce differently

Just out of curiousity, to the guys saying that the sportlines are junk. Have any of you had the sportlines on your cars and switched them out for different springs, or is this just what you have read about them (serious question)? I've had the sportlines on my car for 6 years, so I really don't know any different. I do not really have any complaints with them other than they do not transfer weight very well on the track. It's a stiff ride but doesn't bother me to much because it's not a DD and I do like the stance.

My plan is to move to a pro-kit or similar and some QA1's for the track.

For reference:

I've known three different people that have ran the sportlines on their cars. I've rode in all of them and driven one. The spring rates are too soft for the amount of drop. The car bottoms out in the back constantly. The overall ride is bouncy. They eventually start to sag. They're a terrible performance spring for both drag racing or corner carving. They only thing they're good at is lowering the car cosmetically.

Agreed with everyone else. I've ran Sportlines and the Pro Kit, and I'm convinced Eibachs suck. Go Hotchkis, BMR, or Strano springs. I've ran Hotchkis on a couple cars, and have buddies with them. Great springs.
