I am looking to buy a set of new springs off of a PRC stage 1 LS6 head. I was told that they are new LS6 springs but the PRC website says that they are "standard LS springs .500 lift." That sounds like LS1 springs to me. So my question is do these heads come with LS1 or LS6 springs standard? They are going on a LS1 with an 02 LS6 cam in it.

New LS6 springs are relatively inexpensive. What color are the springs that you have been offered? If you buy PRC Stage 1 LS6 Heads from Texas Speed, for example, you can pick your springs - so it is hard to say what springs came "standard."

I was reading that from Texas Speed they come with LS6 springs, Comp 918s, or a variety of duals. These are single beehives and have a black with a blue stripe. The said he got them from TSP so they probably are LS6 springs but I thought new LS6 springs were solid blue.

The LS6 springs that I have seen are yellow, but I have read that some are blue - so I cannot rule any particular color. You could test the springs to see if they have the specs for LS6 springs. Testing the springs before installation is a good practice anyway.

After a ton of research I believe that these springs are LS2 springs. Black with two coils having a blue stripe. If I am not mistaking LS2 springs have a max lift of .570 and should work with an 02 Z06's .550ish lift.
