Default Boost spike question

I'm currently running a tial 46mm wastegate.the gate has a 7 psi spring in it but boost goes to 12-14 psi then the gate opens and pulls boost down to 7.
I've tried running different size line from the fitting on turbo to side waste gate port but nothings helped.

The gate seems to be either sticking or not getting the vacuum flow to it. Any ideas?

Yes new wastegate.
So the rubber ring seal under the cap can stick ?

I could put some oil or something on it possibly so it doesn't stick if that would help

I mean the whole turbo kit, it is new?

If its brand new, i highly doubt it would be torn or ripped.

The kit and gate are new
I have changed springs a few times though. They sent me wrong spring first time so I had to change it. I don't think it's ripped. The cap does kinda stick to rubber seal when bolts are out when taking cap off to change spring

Sounds like bad WG placement. Got any pics of how it's plumbed?

Sounds like your boost reference line is coming off the compressor housing of the turbo correct? If you're referencing the intake manifold this can happen.

I'm running wastegate boost source connected to the fitting directly on turbo housing. So I try running a different boost/vacuum source line?

The fastest response to the wastegate will be from the compressor housing, just like you have it. Like cobrakiller said post up some pics of your wastegate placement.

I'll get a pic today it seems to be at a good angle though.

What if my banjo bolt on side port of the tial wastegate isn't lined up properly with the flow? Would that restrict flow enough to cause a delay in WG opening ?

i installed a turbo kit on a s2000 and used one of those. it had a like 13 lb spring iirc and it boosted to 25psi and never opened. I bench tested it and it opened at like 27. I put a 10 or 7 psi spring and it opened at 15 psi. I think when I bench tested it i could hear it leaking past the valve guide IIRC.

might want to hook up a regulated compressed air source after you take it out of the car and check it out and turn up the press. til it opens. and also listen for anything out of the ordinary.
