Default Oh no, rubber is caked all over the inner and out fenders, whats the trick?

I just looked at my car from last weekend because I was getting ready to wash it, but I noticed a bunch of rubber on the inside and outside of my rear fenders. I tried a water hose with a nozzle, but it didnt even budge. What are you all using to get it off? Also, what are you using to prevent it from being so difficult to remove and doesnt damage the clear? Thanks.

Go to the local do it yourself wash....hit the areas w/the high pressure wand to get the majority of it off.... then back to the house and bust out the tar and bug remover. A good hot water/sudsy wash to get the remaining off and yer done....AFTER you re-wax the rear quarters.

Now..... to keep from doing this again....there are several products you can buy that can be applied to the affected areas.... generally find this stuff at any good speed shop. I've always had good luck w/PAM or any vegetable based cooking spray..... the marbles wipe right off

Well lucky for me I had a can of Gunk Tar and Bug remover. However, I cant seem to get it off. Its really caked on there. I high pressured wash it, then sprayed a bunch of that stuff on there, let it soak for 5 mins. and then scrubbed it with a sponge. Most of has come off, but there is still lots more. Any other suggestions?

Use mineral spirits, beats EVERY bug&tar made, that what I use in my detail business. Use a "bug sponge" while washing. Next time you go to the track, use the aforementioned PAM or WD-40, then it'll wipe right off!

Ditto.... Use Pledge the next time you race. Rubber won't stick...

To get the very last bit of it use a claybar.

I just rub the hell out of it Haven't scratched it yet, but then again I'm not overly concerned anymore ... I'll probably repaint the car in a few years Pam or other cooking sprays work well before hand, otherwise the "professional" product is called Geddex Burnout Guard ...

Tar and bug remover wasnt working for me, so I used mineral spirits and boy did it work. A lot easier and fast with it. I didnt have any WD-40, so I just used a lubricant and it worked just fine. There was no rubber on the fenders at all, just tar. Im sure it will wash right off...hopefully. Thanks for the tips guys.
