Default B1 cam?

I just heard about this cam. What are the comparisons say to the ASA? Which is the cam I'm deciding on. What would make more power with full exhaust. Z06 heads. Lid. Ported throttle body.

Anyone have a sound clip of it also? I appreciate the info guys!

This cam dates back is about 12 years at least. I had a B1 back in 2000, it was a 221/221//.558/.558//114lsa grind, custom spec'ed by MTI (now long gone) and originally ground by Lunati and later by Comp.

Is that the same B1 you are referring to?

I take it it that it requires a converter change also?

I made 365rwhp with this cam, plus headers/ORY, air lid and catback as the only other mods. That was with stock 853 heads, stock LS1 intake and stock throttle body, with an unlocked A4 trans.

I used it with a 3500 stall. I think peak power was around 6050 or 6100rpm. I shifted it at 6200 I believe.

Not bad for power with stock heads. Figure I could make more with 243's. Maybe ill stick with the ASA.
