Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series and LSX Shootout - ** LSX Shootout / NMCA Finals October 6-9 2011 @ Indy, who is coming?!? **

Not far off now, so who is planning to make the trek to Indy and race, show or just spectate and enjoy all the LSX action?

Driving out from New Jersey in my black Camaro Z28 LS1 and hoping to enter it/race it in the LSx Rumble and LSx True Street classes :drive: as well as enjoying some spectating and hoping to see a few friends win some championships. :nod:

I will be coming from South Central Jersey with a 98 Corvette Pace Car. Only running the Rumble. One class to focus on.

You can also stop by my trailer and say hello. :D

I dropped the car off at ECS for it to be ready for Indy.

Coming from Iowa with my '91 Mustang, won't be racing it this year though.
My friend will be racing an LS2/Maggie powered Chevy II.

Three for NJ but not really...I will be racing Late Model EFI and cheering the LSX racers on when not running.

Yes it is the car on the Eaton banner and of course I will be happy to autograph one for you if you get your hands on one haha

Coming from Aurora IN(about 15 mins west of Cincinnati OH) I will be running in Real Street with my Camaro, with a T56. I will have lots of friends also coming along. So it should be a fun time!

Nah i was asking about nmca classes, but I saw that rule on their website. I was thinking about running late model efi also but they don't allow t brakes.

One question are you allowed to cut your car off in true street during your back to back passes while waiting in the line to get back?

Yes you can turn the car off.

Would nice if lsx racers could race lm efi.

I think ya buy the Rumble (or Camaro 5th gen) tech card and that gets you into True Street for free, but don't quote me LOL. :D

We are going to try to qualify for the NMCA Pro Street Class since their are not any LSX classes for my car.

But I think you might actually mean that there are no true 'heads up' (how that car should be running :D) LSx classes for your car. :)

Would like to run in the 12.00 class but won't be able to make it all weekend so might settle on just spectating on Sunday.

It was decent air Saturday so you'll likely lose a little out at Indy (track is nearly 800 feet) depending on how warm it is so you still might be better off adding weight/slowing it down and shooting for 12.00 for both Rumble and True Street (if you enter it).
Ya might have enough for 11.50 in Rumble as well though.

Though you're a little faster now than you were back then of course LOL. :D

I'll be there, coming from southern Indiana so only a 2 hour drive for me. Not racing, just there to spectate and drink some beer. Though I may put my car in the show not sure yet.

Does anybody know how many cars are usually at this event? Would it be worth coming from MN to spectate? I have never been to an LSX event so I do not know what to expect. Thanks, Troy

Looking at the qualifying sheets from last year:

5 cars in Drag Radial
7 cars in All Motor
7 cars in Real Street
17 cars in 5th Gen
104 cars in LSX Rumble

These are just the LSX cars. The NMCA has a bunch of cars competing in 12 classes, some going as fast as low 6's in the quarter. If you enjoy watching drag racing then you should not be disappointed. There is also a car show, manufacturers booths, and plenty of cars to see in the pits.

Total is usually around 450-500 or more. Car show area usually get a nice turnout, and with it being the final event of the points season (and being double points as well); you know racers will be there!

We drove almost 1100 miles (2200 round trip) to the very first one in Memphis TN just to spectate/be a part of this great new event...and I would do it again without hesitation. :nod:
Now I go as a participant and it's just a fun, very well run series of events all weekend long. :thumb:

i have been in a wedding the weekend of shootout 2 years ago was invited last year to wedding during shootout and declined, another wedding this year too that i declined to go to. Managed to run the whole lsx series challenge wasn't gonna miss the finals this year.

I will be there and three other cars from my area, this will be my first actual compitition with the car so I am praying to the LSx:angel:

Just some other guys that probly will run nmca true street and where ever they fit in. Also hopefully the Sullivan race team will be there with the F4 procharge car:devil: But I dont know.

coming from cincinnati (Lebanon/Mason area). My first time been waiting 5 years finally it came close!...Bringing my newly purchased 2001 395 Stroker with D1 pushing 625 RWHP.
Probably will not race but probably show.
