Default Best 6am for 1st gen w/sbc???

Building a 69 camaro that already has a potent sbc in it, though I'd love to do an ls3 down the road. I have an 02 with the 6sp man and a ls7 clutch and love the feel and performance.
What trans can be made to work with the current sbc (mid 90's) and perhaps also work with the ls3 later and ls7 clutch?? Road race and dd.

The old style bellhousing + adapter plate + LS1 length input shaft & front adapter plate would work now and change to the LS_ bellhousing later for use w/ the LS7 style clutch.

Were you considering M12 or MN6 ratios?

Don't know the difference, and have not run this sbc to to the ls1 to see which would work better with the engines power band. Ideas?

By the way...the heading should read 6sp. The iPad thinks it knows what I'm thinking...not!
