I bought the car back in 2002 when i was 15 years old. Making some changes to it recently......

Front bumper needs to be repainted. trying to find a new hood, Raptor or ws6

slotted and drilled rotors

Some pics of my work area

Going from 6 speed to stalled 4l60e.

3800 stall from CIRCLE D

I will be using a B&M megashifter, B&M supercooler, and B&M temp gauge

Cant beat 200 dollar ebay headers with block off plates

Put in a rearend this last weekend, has 4.10's and new bearings

This is last on my list to install. until then it just sits in my room. Also picked up a timing tuner from a buddy

line lock

Last night I put in a new fuel pump...... nothing like cutting holes in your first car.

You should have dropped the tank while your old rear end was out of the car. That would have saved you from cutting up the floor.

Well. After the heads and cam, which is the winter project, im changing the fuel pump to an aeromotive stealth. I don't want to have to keep dropping the tank.

But that's the lazy side of me talking

So i went to go throw in the new fuel pump and I find this....

Turned the key on and the gas gauge works..... It sat in my parents shed over the winter and mice got to it. **** MY LIFE

spent a couple hours on it after I rewired the fuel pump and got these nasty things out

headers will go on tomorrow. then all thats left for now is transmission and hood.

rusty exhaust is off

I know its not that big of deal, but ive wanted headers on this forever. Did it all with 2 jack stands, jack, and basic socket set. Also ALOT of swearing

Any ideas on what shift kit I should run?

Trans Go any good?

are the bolts different that bolt up a flexplate from the flywheel?

picked up some flexplate bolts today at o reileys...... bolts are slightly too large. wtf

http://www.thunderracing.com/shop-by...-Kits_661.html

Ran into another issue. the o2 sensor for the driver side is too long and will not go into the header. Am i supposed to get a different shorter o2 sensor or just get a dummy o2.

Awesome. That think is going to be fun! I had a 1500 Silverado 5.3L Regcab side step bed with the same stall as you w 4:10s, pacetter long tubs/cut out and the TransGo shift kit. I was able to keep up with the 4x4 guys in the 1/4mile. I wasn't fast enough to beat them tho but staying on their bum pumper isn't bad, I don't think. So I can imagine its going to be way better with the added HP your going to have!
Sorry such a long post. Lol didn't want to high jack it's excited for you. Good work!

I really can't remember right now. FML! I didn't get a chance to tune it so it might have been a little quicker if I did. I even did the ram air mod from the lower air dam. Are you going to add a cutout? I'll try and see if I still have a time slip. It's been 3yrs though.

What type of headers? or the exhaust on the ground?

bought some ARP flexplate bolts, while im repainting the front bumper any ideas on what hood I should run? Seems like lately the amount of ws6's here in lincoln, Ne has grown. I want something that sets me apart from the rest.

Rim and tires are for sale. Pm if interested. Also stealth fuel pump.

Sorry to ask, but how could you afford that when it was 2 years old and you were only 15?

Christ when I was 15 I was dying to get a freestyle BMX. I admire the fact you're doing all of this work man-very commendable. Also, there may be a lot of WS6's in your area, but in my opinion that's the perfect look for that car. I've always said that all of the Firebirds should have come from the factory that way...

Thank you mang. Doing all this stuff for the first time is over whelming. But doing it yourself gives a guy so much more satisfaction.
