Default 98 Z28 vs 05 SRT4

Just added intake/exhaust to my otherwise stock 98 Camaro and had it tuned @ Lashway Motorsports, so I met up with a buddy for a rematch. The first time we ran while I was bone stock, I won by about 1 car from a dig and he beat me by about 3 cars from a 35 roll...

Watch it in 1080p HD since it was pretty dark for the GoPro...

Nice runs for sure. The srt pulls hard frOm a roll, but good race none the less.

Yea the camera is on the side of the SRT facing forward... It was way too dark for the gopro, I should have used a HD night vision camera instead...

Lol, yea I had a big turbo SRT4 too. Bought the camaro for a beater/project down the road, but I was surprised its pretty healthy for 120k miles.

They are seeming to hold up pretty strong.

OP isn't it nice to how well these cars take to mods? Even minor bolt-on's and these LS1's pick up gobs of power. Makes me want to mod more but I am staying with only bolt-on's!

Those SRT 4's can be nasty from a roll. My brother had one (cai and cat back) and it ran dead even with another friends bolt-on auto from a 30 roll. He did the mopar stage 3 kit and my M6 SS got raped from a roll. I did full bolt-ons and I would pull maybe 1/2 car on him. He got beat by me and then sold the car the following week claiming it "wasn't running right"

We were all blown away at how well this 98 responded to tuning and basic bolt ons. When it came in it had a few vacuum leak issues, and there was an oversized hole drilled in the TB blade (from previous owner of TB) that wasn't helping idle...

We welded the hole shut, and re-drilled it. That improved things across the board.

Thing picked up serious power and pulls hard...

Nice job
