Default Oil Pan for a '55 Chevy S&P vs. Holley

I am putting a '99 F Body LS1 in my '55 Chevy convertible.

Should I send the pan off to Street and Performance to have it modified or sell it and get the new Holley pan?

Looks S&P says to not use the windage tray with their pan? I'm going to call them and ask about that..

Any other pan suggestions?

**BTW, I've also got a really nice LS2 Corvette pan but I don't think it can be modified to fit.

They're priced very close to the same. Anything else I should know to help me decide Holley or Mast?

Also, how much should I ask for an F-body pan and a nearly new LS2 Corvette pan?

Thanks!

IIRC.. the Mast might not have the bottom Bell housing bolt holes. The Holley does have them..

I was not totally impressed with the JZ internal baffle in the lower pan. Not sure if Holley redesigned it or not.. might lookin into comparing it with the new Holley and Mast. If your doing any hard Autocrossing or Road Racing.

Just looked at another picture/ad of the Mast. looks like they are using a 3/4 windage tray. I would guess that the front sump is very shallow like the F-Body pan. Still looking for a picture of the lower sump area and the baffles of each.
