progressive controller settings
I have a Nitrous Outlet progressive controller on the way. I currently have a window switch and am trying to run a 150 shot, but I'm starting to have traction problems when the nitrous activates. It was doing ok with a 100/125 shot. Anyway, decided a progressive controller might help, but need a rough idea how to initially set it. Maybe start at 50% and ramp up to 100% in 0.5 second? Is that too quick? If so, maybe 1 second? Other suggestions or experience?

Your settings matters how well your car is set up. A progressive controller is what it says. It supposed to progress your run, not limit your power. Does it have a 2nd stage like the edelbrocks have? If so it would help to were you can leave at 20-30% then bring the 2nd ramp on and bring it in faster once the car is rolled out.

3/4 of the race is in the first 60ft. So the idea is to progress in the ramp to full flow as quickly as possible. Since you had no issues with 125 and are only adding another 25hp I would start at 75 percent ramp and ramp in with in 1 second. Then if fine tune from there according to how it responds. It will be trial and error but this will give you a starting point.

The % set is not the hp it will spray. E.g. running a 150 hp hit at 50% will not be a 75.5 hp shot. The % is simply the duty cyle on the noid. It doesn't know what jets are in it or the size of the orffices ect.
