Default Best heads 3k and under for a 418 LS3?

Looking to make the most power possible from this combo. Im not looking to spend more than 3k for heads so with that in mind (along with the proper cam) what are the best heads I can get for this block? I was looking at the WCCh stage 3 LS3 heads..but haven't seen any numbers from them. I want to make around 550whp on motor.

The mast med bore LS7/LS3 hybrid is probably your best bet to make the most possible power. They'd be right at $3k

I have the WCCH Stage 2 L92's and am right at 500 with a rich afr, so if I had to guess, Richard's Stage 3 should get a little better results...

Texas Speed Small Bore LS7 heads would be another solid choice.

Advanced Induction has many ported stock heads that would be way below your $3k limit that make great power. My Ported L92 heads made 715hp NA with 416ci.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...-714hp-na.html

If you need to spend the whole $3k to reach your goals, I'm sure they could work something up for you that is above and beyond what I needed/used.

I was really interested in the small bore TSP LS7s but the lack of info is starting to steer me away from them. My next option was the WCCH LS3 stage 3s..If they can get me to 550whp ill go with them.

Hmmmm, I never had a problem with Richard. He always answered my emails/returned phone calls even when I was talking with while I was in Iraq....

I've called twice already and the last time I called I left my name and number to be called back and it never happened.

In his defense, he is a busy man and for him to personally answer all phone calls is alot to ask.....

Its no big deal..I wasn't making a big deal and a thread about it..I just said the search continues and ill be looking at other options. I have nothing bad to say about him since I've never actually been able to deal with him.

I doubt you will find a vendor who is more generous with his time than Richard. We've spent hours on the phone over the years.

Numbers in sig:

Have you thought about TFS 235's or are you committed to square port heads.

Have you seen LPE's Ls3 cnc'd heads? They will mill them and set them up for your application and with your choice of springs for free.
They also have an Ls9 cnc'd head as well. Give them a call they have always been helpful over the phone.

Richard from WCCH is out on vacation right now.

I went with TSP heads because I didn't want to wait for Richard to get back in town to do my heads. Turns out TSP is taking just as long so my plan backfired.
