Default Which is which?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I just picked up some 243 heads from an '08 Silverado for my '99 LS1. I just need to know if I got "driver side & passenger side head". I noticed there's an "L" on the head & "D" on the other. I'm trying to find out & make sure I didn't pick two of the same.

dont know what L and D mean but they should go on the same...both heads have sensors in them you just dont see the pass side i guess... the heads bolt up the same left and right...

as much I'd like to but im not to sure what all I want to do with the heads first. there completly stock with less then 30k on these heads from what Im told.

Im go for that cam pkg from TSP. Im somewhat sketchy if I should touch them I dont want to fly cut cause I'll be using torquer v2 cam. should I give these heads a valve job?

It is always a good idea to have something like that checked out at a reputable shop. 30k miles is like the magic number when it comes to car parts..... too many miles to look new and not enough to make you worry... you can bet your *** they have more on them than that. Have them checked out.

okay, so I just took these heads to a local shop. just to get them checked nothing else!

before I even tell this guy what these came off of. This guy pointed out the problem with these heads they were poorly made from this company called

"Cast tech" in south korea. He pointed to this symbol

He said these came off the 07"-up model trucks 4.8,5.3 etc..they tend crack right around 50-65k right in the center of the head one will go before the other.. in my case these heads dont look cracked but he'll find out

my question to you guys have any of you herd of this???? should I be worried about this

L31 vortec truck (96-99) cast iron heads are desireable for dirt streetstock
racing...decent runners/flow from production head w/1.94 valves.
The original Canadian cast 906s flow better and are less crack prone
The new from GM 062s are (hecho en mexico)=POOP
There could be some validity to this Korean stuff
