Default LS1 Nitrous motor help

Any recommendations to build a reliable and streetable ~400HP (to the crank) LS1 with a 200 shot of nitrous?

Currently I am running a stock ls1 with a 100 shot of nitrous, TR6 plugs and a timingtuner in an 86 RX7.

Thanks

TSP v3 cam, ported ls6 heads for your heads and cam. Get rid of the tr6 plugs and use a non-projected br7ef or b8efs for the 200 shot. pull timing accordingly.

have fun

Thank you for the advice, but I think that is a lot more cam than I am looking for. I guess I should mention that I am trying to maintain good gas mileage and keep exhaust noise down. Currently I am doing a bit better than 30mpg on the highway. The engine itself doesnt need to be an animal, that's what the nitrous is for.

With that in mind, how about an ls6 cam and heads? Didn't the LS6 make a 405hp? If im 380 even I would be happy.

And then what about engine internals as far has handling the nitrous? Do I need to do pistons and rods or just pistons and rod bolts???

For the hell of me I don't know why you are worried about fuel economy, but to each there own. Get a TR224 on a 114 instead then. It will have damn near a smooth idle and good fuel economy. My friend gets 22mpg with it in a stalled auto car. On a 200 shot with that combo it should run in the 9's since my friend went 10.50 with his f-body coming in at 3830 raceweight.

You can do the katech rodbolt upgrade but I have seen a few not do it and still be ok, but don't try to shove 7 bottles a week thru it.
