so as im on my way to the pavilions to get some runs in, my car starts to sputter and miss real bad. It ends up stalling, several times. I pull off the side of the street. Car istantly gets towed to antivenoms house. he pulled the valve cover the other day and saw that the cyclinder 5 valve spring broke...
yesterday ordered some lunati dual gold valve springs rated to .660 lift, so i have that out of the way for a cam swap....

Lucky you didn't drop a valve! Looks like you're one of those lucky few with the late 02Z bad springs. I had an 02Z but it was built in Oct 2001, so it didn't have that issue.

Good luck with the fix. Sorry this happened.

That's the very reason why I'm changing mine out and putting CC918's in. 116K on mine and don't want to risk it. Build date was Feb 02 but still. Glad you didn't drop a valve!
