Default Question on shims

I have a twin disk Ram clutch. I'm putting everything back together and am ready to put the trans back on the engine. I go to check the dimensions that Tick Performance gives instructions how to do to determine if you need to shim the clutch slave and here is what I find. Dimension A is the distance between the fingers of the pressure plate and the outer edge of the bell housing where the trans matches up. That distance is 2.125". Then I measure dimension B, the distance from the face of the trans to the front of the compressed (with no spring on) throw out bearing. That dimension is 2.25". This is completely backwards of what it is supposed to be. In their example is dimension A is larger than dimension B, then you can add a shim behind the clutch slave and bring it to the .125 distance needed. What do I need to do here to fix this. Thanks for the help.

Is the bleeder open on the clutch slave when you measured? If not, open it- compress and measure again.
