Default Highway pull against 470hp Jaguar XF

Ran in to a Jaguar XF (supercharged 470hp model) last night with no intentions of racing it, figured it looked nice and was probably quick tho...

Then a mustang rolled by behind it and got him fired up I guess. I dropped my car down to second and followed them on the highway.

They kicked it down and the jag out pulled the mustang pretty easily so I figured I'd try and take a stab at it.

My car: Built A4, full suspension, but 2.73 gears= highway monster

Livernois Ls6 heads, baby cam etc... Mildly built street car.

Once We finally cleared traffic I got pretty close to his rear bumper and he hammered on it trying to leave me before I ever got beside him... Started at roughly 65 or so and went to the 135ish range(not sure just saw my speedo past there) with me pulling back even to him in that time.

I definately would beat him by a few cars on a fair race where we left at the same time etc, but that car was no joke. If any of you other guys find one thats willing on the highway dont take it lightly haha! It was an exciting little kick for sure which usually doesnt happen with the guys who have 70k$ cars!

Dang! I didn't know there was a higher hp version... It could've been one I suppose? I just know it was an XF and it had to be at least the 470hp version since it was almost hanging with me.

I was impressed.

I think there is a XFR version, which is the highest performing model.

I would think so because the XF Supercharged Jag runs mid 13's. The XFR runs mid 12's

Nice kill..

They are on the heavy side. They need all that power to get out there way.
