Negative Trader Feedback - Help me out, should I get my money back from this sale????? No help in other threads

I don't know exactly where to put this. I have posted a thread in the brake area, but it is getting NO feedback. Sorry, one! lol But, I have been looking for an ABS module for my 2000 camaro with 4channel(traction control) for a while now. I finally found one here on this site for 30 shipped, which seemed to be a great deal. I was happy with it. But, I asked what year it was from, seller said 2000 trans am. Ok, perfect. I also asked if it had traction control(4 channel) and he said yes it did. Awesome, I'll take it. So, I get it this past Tuesday, and I go to put it on, and it isn't the same one! Mine has 10 of those pick up things, while his has 6 of them. They are completely different. I was told by another board member that the 98's were the only ones that were different. I looked around, and that does seem to be the case. 98's are different from 99-02 ABS modules.
Now, I haven't seen him get back on here yet, and it's only be over a day since he last logged on, so I'm not TOO terribly pissed yet. But, my question is, don't you guys think I should get my money back from this, plus shipping to return it to him? He did state that was from a 2000 with traction control, but from what I am seeing, it's from a 1998. I've posted the original sale thread that shows the part, along with me asking the questions about year and traction control, and his responses. I have also attached a link to a thread I started in the brakes area that has a picture of the two side by side. Mine on the right, his on the left. PLEASE let me know what you guys think. Also, if this is not the place for this, please move it to wherever it should go, but the negative feedback area doesn't seem right. I want everyones opinion!
I've sent an email, and private message to the seller. The guy might be a stand up guy, who knows.

Check out the first link "ABS Module." Seller said he would issue refund, but never has even after private message, and email sent. This EBCM does NOT have traction control.

Absolutely. Should I let this go, and let the next guy possibly get this done to them? Would you say the same thing to them? Why would anyone just let someone do this. Why not just let it happen multiple times.

Agreed, and it's more than JUST $35. It also deals with the reputation of the site and it's members. I would do the same thing.
all this over $35?
Spoken like a true scammer....

Reverse the payment. The buyer always wins.

P.S. we sell 99-02 Camaro firebird traction control 5.7L antilock brake pumps with module for $45, tested checked backed with a 90 day warranty. but since i'm a true scammer, guess you'll have to take your $30 chances on the forums.

not that this person did or does that (scamming a ton of people) ,but imagine how all of the big cons make their money in this country with different scams and schemes... yeah only $35 but hundreds of people, its not so much "just $35" anymore.... and to the OP, not that you are (but alot on here are) but $35 is alot to a kid in high school with their first F-body trying to fix-mod it with possibly just a part time job, I know myself and many others have been there!

Simple enough.
The guy guessed what it would/might fit. Had you asked without giving up your application my bet is the answer would have been different. Was it was a scam or honest mistake? If it was honest your refund should be in the mail. Period. Others wise do what you can to get whole.

Could be one of the most ignorant statements I've read on this site. And that's no small feat!

Wow, I have not gotten any emails showing that I had responses to this.. I have not received anything from him, so its obvious that he does not intend to refund the money. Im sure he knows that hes in the wrong. I just escilated paypal to a claim. I also filed a claim through my bank and they told me to call the police department and see if they knew any further steps I could take for possible internet fraud as well. I havent done that yet. But I definitely plan too.
Kaczman, you honestly haven't provided any valid comments in here besides almost backing up the other guy, making it look like you're ok with people getting screwed on here. Makes me wonder if you're possibly the same guy, just with a different screen name.
xxrillixx, I appreciate it, but who knows how this could turn out. I would love to see this guy pay for what he is doing by a little visit by the police. I just broke my hand and have a baby on the way, so money is strapped extremely tight. I dont feel right taking something from someone and not knowing when/how I will be able to repay them.
Anyone have any tips on some good steps to take next? Anchorage, alaska police department?

it's amazing how quick people come out of their shells on these things, on one side, they are the greatest whatever in the world, then they post some seriously ignorant stuff lol. <<<< that isn't intended to target anyone specificially, but yes, 35 is a "big" deal, you go to mcdonalds, spend 5 dollars for a big mac and get their shitty ass mcnuggets (sorry if anybody likes those lol) hell, it's only 5 bucks right, so what if its not what i ordered, that just supports poor "salesmanship" i just separated from the military after 11 yrs and i learned a couple things about "leading" and if it's wrong, it's wrong, no other way of looking at it. anyway bro, i hope it gets settled and it sounds like XXrilliXX is willing to help you out. good luck. . . .

I was finally able to move my dispute through paypal to a claim, and paypal refunded my money the next day. I'm shocked. I did'nt get the extra 11 to ship it back, so I guess I'll wait a little bit and see if he ever wants it back. I dont plan on waiting too long though before it goes in the trash.
XxrillixX, Would you take the same amount? Have pics of it, and you know it works? Why are you selling yours? Makes me nervous to even think about buying something else on here.
