Default Went to the track today, let me know what yall think

The weather at track was 42-44*, humidity 50-70% and barometer 29.82- 29.85.

My car has ported TEA 5.3 heads stage 1.5s (stock exhaust valves), 224/224 114 lsa TR cam, LS6 intake, Pacesetters w/ORY, borla, ASP, TSP lid, K&N, de-screened maf and tuning. When it was tuned she put down 400 rwhp. I also have the 3.96* knock retard mod which gives me 15* of total timing.

Stock converer, 2.73s, slightly slipping tranny. Shifts were manually done in the 64-6500 range. Weight 3675-3700 lbs with 2/3-3/4 tank of gas.

All runs were made on Nitto 245/50r16s set at 17-18 psi hot. Sway bar endlinks are out but the sway bar is still in the car.

Best ET was 12.488 at 113.38 w/ 1.952 60'. Car had been hot lapped several times and tranny was slipping on both upshifts.

Best MPH was 114.46 w/ 12.627 ET and 2.056 60'.

Car ran consistent 12.5s at 113-114.

Let me know what you think and what you recommend. I know a converter is desperatly needed.

Thanks

Nice time's but i think its time to put a converter and some gears in and you will see 11's.

I noticed that you manually shifted your A4. That's not to good on the transmission and computer stuff. Just leave it up to the computer to do the shifting. I'm sure some more people can chime in on this. Nice times though. Good job.

Converter and tires. Also you need to get rid of the KR. 3.9 is way to much for a tuned car. Gears will also help a lot.

Nice times for the mods you have.

Now, get a Converter, bigger gears and some sticky tires.

Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it. Keep it coming.

The tuner who did my car, will remain nameless at this time, told me he saw about 4* of knock when he was doing the tuning. I also saw he same thing when A-tapping the car. I'm sure it's the rear knock sensor. I imagine the loss in timing is hurting me about .2 sec and 2 mph or so.

As far as manually shifting, I have to do this because when I asked the same tuner to set the rev limit at 7000 and the shifts at 6500-6600 he said, "well you have the HPP3 already so use that to adjust the shifts". When I tried doing that it reset the rev limit from what I requested, 7000, back down to 6600. With the HPP3 the highest I can get the car to shift is 6200 when letting the computer do the shifting. I'm a little unhappy with this tuner, guess his bedside manner is better when he's medicating Vettes.

Throw in a set of 3.42s and a 4000 stall and go grab 11's
