Default 5.3 t70 KYTP build thread front mount

well after 2years my car is finally coming together. my goal is to drive to track run a nice mid 10 sec pass and drive it home but will see.

MOTOR

2006 5.3
243 heads
ARP bolts and head studs
ls6 intake


FUEL

twin in tank 255 walbros
8an feed
stock feed is my return
60lb injectors
fast fuel rails
Magna fuel regulator

TURBO KIT
T70 master power
kytp cross over 2.5'
3in down pipe
eBay intercooler
Rps blow off valve 50mm
3in cold side from ebay

in the first pic they are stock springs but you can see the retainers are aftermarket in the lower pics. looks like PRC Golds

Thanks guys.... Found out my vavle covers are not going to work with alternator, found my stock ones and got some 8an bungs welded on

finally got some time to work on the car

working on the twin pump set up

made both pumps fit



going to drill these holes out


inside shot before I drill both holes

I cut mine when i put a walbro in. It helps to keep fuel in the bucket, along with keeping the pump cool. The stock pump (as you likely know) has a pump to pull it in the bucket, then the pump to send it to the engine. Being that you're eliminating that, you need the extra area open to allow fuel to surround the pump. IIRC, i read that the number one killer of walbros is excessive heat. my .02.

makes sense now but I'm adding a return line back into the bucket..should I Leave it alone?

Pumps are in the tank.....started putting the harness back on... got to stop after work and pick up a new oil pressure sensor and o2 sensors

got some new parts in today

went with racetronix hot wire kit for fbody's and there universal one for the second pump
