I just got to GA and and have a pewter Ss looking for some f-body friends out n the area to cruise around with. Seen plenty of nice f bodies but trying to see what's out here.

Pewter SS here as well, but up in the Atlanta area.

I actually went down there once to visit my wife and family didn't really see too many camaros out there but I heard there alot of f body car clubs out there. What intake you running on your ss lid or k&n fipk? Cuz I'm trying to decide which i should do.

LS1 Motorsports Direct-Flow airlid (LS1speed airbox lid) with a K&N filter.

Z28 but was thinking about running a k&n fipk becuz of the good scoop on the ss. But some say it only sucks n hot air. With the lid I ran a slp cold air induction kit which picked up the cold air in front of the radiator. So I think I might stick with what I know will work vs

All you need is a good lid, try and get a fast toys lid and Chris1313 ram air.

Savannah person here. The car scene is okay here and Saturday nights in Georgetown can have decent turnouts. LOTS of rice at times though...

Yep ... what they say is right. The K&N FIPK's do suck in more hot air, but they are also much less restrictive than stock. There is a trade-off, but I believe a few horses are gained on the less restrictive side of that trade-off. I installed one on my Lightning & 5.3 RCSB (both sold) and I probably won't install one on my Hummer unless I find a smoking deal on a used one.

I have a 97 Trans AM in the driveway that I need to work on selling, and just bought a 99 Trans AM the first week of January this year. It has a few mods I wanna get rid of (Nitrous) and need a tune. Any one know where to get one one around here? Dont want to drive to Atlanta or Jacksonville.

There is quite a few of us here. We used to have a meet every Saturday at Chili's in Savannah. But we do not anymore, we sometimes meet up and go ride to the beach or downtown. My close friends have 2- blackbirds, #48 and the CETA #5, the other have WS6's including me. If you would like to go ride sometime i will talk to them.

This is kinda off topic, but we're coming over to Savannah this weekend (Thursday, actually) for our Anniversary/Getaway- Any suggestions on where to stay? I'd like to be close in, but $200+ a night they can stick right up their ass- This is a trip to appease the wife; I could care less about going. Even better, if there's anything going on with the LS scene, I'd be down to check it out. :D

IDK yet. I am going to the Hinesville walmart tonight. there is usually a few groups of cars hanging at the bottom part of the parking lot near the Wendy's so I will sniff out whats going on there tonight.

Well we all need to get a common meeting ground and day/time. My car just sits for months at a time. I'd like to take it out and meet up with fellow car people.

I'm actually trying to organize on a few different forums, a cruise down the coast from the SC/Georgia border down to Florida border or just down to somewhere like Jeckyll island. It will be multi genres of vehicles not just f-bodies. Everything from f-bodies to tuners to jacked up trucks to mini trucks and everything in between. This will just be a fun drive down the coast with other gear heads. I am looking at next month sometime.

There's a weekly meet sat nights on the corner of montgomery cross road and abercorn in savannah @ the starbucks, and they migrate to the old piggly wiggly lot in georgetown

Where is a good place to live near Savannah? I am in process with getting a job with Gulfstream and would need to be relocating down there from south western PA. I have been on craigslist looking for places to rent, but no add will say dont live here because of high crime or crappy area and so forth..

So any certain places to stay away from? From talking to the "recruiter" he was saying Pooler? is a good place to look for a place in.

Any help would greatly be appreciated

Richmond Hill is very nice. Pooler is decent as well. I love richmond hill, most of my neighbors work for gulfstream

Moved here a few months ago from Tampa. I live in Southside and have seen jack and shit for F-bodies here. That goes for pretty much any decent muscle up here. I did just happen to pass an entire procession of riced out imports on their way to the Starbucks meet tonight. Kida pushed me towards not wanting to participate. Having diverse taste in vehicles is great, but not when you drive like a stereotype. Anyway, is there anything blue oval or gm related that is decent in this town?

You have to know the car spot(s). Pooler is a good choice. There are some decent places on pooler parkway by the airport.

well i actually dont live in pooler yet, ill prolly be moving down the frist week of feb. but when i get down id like to set something up.

It may be an idea to look towards Bluffton SC or some of the areas west of Pooler too. I don't know how much of a commute you're willing to have, but most of the guys I work with live 20-25 miles from the back side of the airport. I'm towards Pembroke and it's not too bad. 30ish minutes from my driveway to the base at the airport.

I finally got my Trans Am running again so I will definatey have to come out and at least meet up. The thing has open headers so the car may just stay local. My buddy can come and drive my black SS I just picked up too.
