Default Should I run meth?

Hey guys I'm almost done with all my turbo parts. I'm running my stock bottom end ls1 with 317 heads. All I need is my fuel pump, but I've been thinking if I should run meth with my setup? Im planing on running 12lbs. Would I need have to use meth or can just swing by it? I understand other factors will come in to play thanks....

12 psi is pushing it on a stock bottom end. meth is never a bad idea as it is a great safeguard.

That's what I was thinking...kinda like cheap insurance with meth but I was told I should be fine without it.... Also I would run a 10lb spring but I'm thinking what if I loose some lbs by the time it reaches my intake...

I had talked to rob about this and he told me run it as is first meth can kill a motor if it stops working.... Id get it tuned with the 10 pound spring and see how it does and start from there... id put a turbo cam before meth if i was you.... Every time you up the boost you stock motor will cry... for 400 a cam could potential get you 50rwhp and leaving it at the same boost level...

get a 7-8 psi spring and a manual boost controller. You should be able to at least double whatever the wastegate spring is with a mbc. May have to crank it a good bit, but it will work.

I'd run meth injection, it really helps to stave detonation off, and don't use washer fluid it's 20-30% methanol at best.

LS6 cam is fine for boost, it has no overlap and is possibly in the negative for overlap which is even better. You should meet your goals just fine.

M1 methanol is what anyone using meth for meth injection uses, unless they are using washer fluid.

Don't get the M3 or M5 as it has lubricants in it made for fuel pumps and being used solely as a fuel, since your not using it as your sole means of fuel and not using a fuel pump, but a water pump you need M1 since the lubricants in M3 and M5 will ruin the pump and seals.

I agree 100% - Meth has helped me from blowing up my engine for the last 50K miles or so...
