Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series and LSX Shootout - True Street question?

View Full Version : True Street question?

It looks to me like the LSX and the NMCA true street are bundled together without seperate winners and payout? In the past LSX had a seperate payout with an LSX block to the winner. Can someone direct me to the true street payouts this year?

It looks to me like the LSX and the NMCA true street are bundled together without seperate winners and payout?I don't think that's how it is, I believe it is still exactly as how it's been in the past.

Here are the rules/info:

Thanks! that was what I was looking for. The only thing I could find was this note in the rumble rules
"At the LSX Shootout (Indiana) event only, LSX Rumble competitor will have the option
to run and compete in the NMCA’S TREMEC True Street category on Saturday at no
additional charge. For rules and regulations pertaining to True Street please refer to the
NMCA official Rule Book or log on to www.nmcadigital.com/rules."
When I went to that link I could only find the NMCA rules. not the LSX like you posted.

When I said 8s I did actually mean cars that all finish and with high 8 second averages over the three runs.

You know better than anybody Dave that it takes three passes not the fastest car to win. I do have a new radiator cap with a red pointer on it for this years race LOL

I almost wish that I wasn't running (in my own slow little subcategory of) True Street just so that I could watch you three guys make your passes.
This should be among the best fights yet for overall TS honors. :thumb:

Don't know which three guys you're talking about, but I'll most likely run RS.

Can't run two classes, right????

Don't know which three guys you're talking about, but I'll most likely run RS.Well, you were actually one of the three I was referring to.

Can't run two classes, right????I thought this event had the exception? Or is it class/'combo of classes' specific?
I know Steve ran RS and Rumble last year.

See now we need Scott!!!

Can run two classes as long as they are one of the index and True Street.
Cannot run Real Street and something else, though it was allowed this year, because it is now a points series.

The only way you can enter True Street and Real Street is if you finish true street, buy a tech card, go through tech and make it to the last qualifying which iwhat I think Mike Brown does? I dunno

Yeah I forgot about the 'point series' thing being a factor now.
Damn, was hopin' to see the Nassau blue C5 in TS, I think Jay could possibly get it done this year.

Since Scott is heading to the NMRA finale at Bowling Green this weekend and may not be able to respond, I'll try this one.

Yes, Mike Brown bought a True Street tech card, ran it and then bought a drag radial one, re-teched and made the last qualifying hit. I'm not entirely sure if it's something that screws up with the computer trying to keep track of a qualified field, the two classes, etc. As of last year, it could be done, but as Edgar mentioned, not sure this year as points are now also involved. Most of the NMCA team will be in Bowling Green as well, but you can try the office at 714-444-2426 and see if they can get you an answer.

It's over, I'm done, ka-put, just found out today I won't have my short block by this weekend or even next week.

Nothing special, just a LS2 block with forged parts. The second set of pistons are now wrong. :bang:

Of course it takes a week or two to open boxes and inspect parts. Then another two weeks to order correct parts, several weeks for those parts, two weeks to open boxes, etc, etc.

Aww too bad jay....I thought you had MM covered last year...hmm?

My mistake, after seeing the vid on MM's sig.

Guess I was basing that statement on last years winning average of 8.9 which "I think" had that covered. lol

Yes- I lost to a Honda from a hole shot

Anyway, good luck to everyone and may the fastest most reliable car win.

I hate that you had bad luck, and didn't get a chance to back that statement up. The only reason you brought that up is because you lost. If you had him covered, you would of won, no? Anyways I just felt like you did a really bad job of having him covered just to of come on here and say you did for the people that weren't there, to really know what went down.

Read my reply to MM above, Shit happens, not to worry "Never know" and good luck to him.

And no, just because someone has another car covered doesn't mean they "would of won". (The point of my reply) Geeeeeesh

I saw where you wished him good luck, that was friendly gesture, but I just don't agree with what you said about having him covered and I felt like it was a low blow, that let people who weren't at the shootout last year know that you have a faster car than him. That's all.

And the car stays in one piece so it can go to it's new owner too! Don't forget that!

Wouldn't want to have to put that LSX block in there and weigh it down more after you blow the SD1 trying to edge ol' Ray Ray out LOL!

Jay, nothing personal, it's racing ok....? We all have our favorites and friends in this game who we are going to root for no matter what.

I just didn't like your choice of words....truce from my side.....
