I need my front passenger side upper control arm bushing replaced, but I think I might as well replace all of them. My front is making a thumping noise and i suspect that its the bushing. What brand is cheap and good? I want a set if possible.

who else beside moog makes bushings?

I think that there are some "repackagers" out there, who sell them a little cheaper, but as far as I know Moog is the only one who makes them....as well as the only one I'd trust, other than Energy Suspension or Prothane, if you want to go "poly".

I like the comfortable ride so I'm going to stick with rubber.

Got a stupid question. Front control arm has upper and lower bushings but does the rear only have lower bushings? There's no rear upper control arm bushing for sale on rockauto that's why I'm asking. Thanks

Yes, the rear only has lower control arms, so only LCA bushings.

I went moog when mine were going bad, no complaints.

Hopefully yours aren't like my LCA ones were. I took the LCAs off and the rubber just fell out of them

I'm replacing my front UCA bushing because whenever I turn tight ever slightly, it makes a thumping noise. I took it to wheel works and they said it's the front right UCA.

My question is... Will a defected bushing cause thumping? Hmm I don't know if I can trust wheel works.

How many miles on your car when they went bad? What were the symptoms of your LCA bushings being bad? Asking for future reference.

I've changed my front UCA bushings a couple of times in the past. The last time around, when I was installing new shocks and springs, I pressed the rubber bushings into the a-arms, installed the bolts, and pivoted them up and down. When I did this, I got a "click".

I didn't see any reason for this to be happening, but just for grins, I pressed in a set of poly bushings I happened to have, and no clicking..... I kept the polys in place, and installed polys in the a-arm for the other side, and that's what I've had in place for the last year. I have rubber in the lower arm, and poly in the upper.
