TCS 4200 converter questions inside?

Default TCS 4200 converter questions inside?

I recently traded my vig for a TCS 4200 stall with a 2.85 STR.. It's got all the billit internals etc.. I'd like to know where you guys and gals stall them.. Also please tell me your best 60' times and ETs and mph.

I tried launching at 2000rpm and ran a 7.34, I tried 2500rpm and got a 7.28.. On my last run I stalled it to 3000rpm and blew the ET Streets away..

Where have you stalled it for best results?

For those of you that have switched to Yanks, how much of a difference have you noticed? I've heard certain models of TCS are comparible..

I was getting 1.60 60' times and running 17 psi..

I was tagging the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift and shifting at 6600rpm.. So i think there is more in it..

Any input from TCS owners is welcome..

TSC 4200 info: 1.58 60' stalling around 2200 rpms, so try slightly over 2k. All around it was a great converter, but I did end up going with a Yank and you can see from my sig that it outperforms the TCS where it counts: on the launch!

What was your STR on the TCS 4200 you had? How was your MPH? in the 1/8 Thanks

2.7 str i believe

1.582 - 60'
7.456 - 1/8
90.90 - mph
11.777 - 1/4
113.63 - mph

This was on BFG DR's in +1500 DA weather. It was a great converter and did me very well, i was really disappointed to see TCS go under, but that that is the way it goes...and now I have moved on to BIGGER and BETTER things and am very happy.

I launch mine at 2400. I have 2.73's so that might not help you much. My best 60' is a 1.66.

I have the TCS 4200 in my stock internal bolt-on car and have cut a best of 1.49 and a average 60' of 1.51-1.52. I like to leave in the 2200- 2500 area sometimes more. I had a Yank 4400 before(broke the hub), and the TCS 60's just as good as the Yank and seems to be more efficant up top.
I would love to try another PT-4400, but I will be changing my set-up soon and don't want to spend the money on another verter. Overall I'm happy with the TCS 4200 performance, it's been in the car for almost a year now.

though TCS is no more..some of people who were fortunate enough to get one are some of the fastest f-bodies around ecspecially N/A

I myself runs one as well, Mike kleman..Now Tim Jewel is knocking down numbers and theres few others as well...Its only ashame that family own businesses go bad sometimes...Derek made kick @zz converters without a doubt..

Oh forgot one more..Chuck Yates cam/head ls1 346 just this past saturday knocked down 10.88@123.8 1.47 60 ft... 1st time to track with new setup as well

I have a TCS 4400 and i have not been able to take it to the track yet I need to get some ET streets and see what she will do. I have 2.73s right know and nittos still get roasted. Can't wait to get it to the track, but my 60's won't be anything great due to the worthless track prep

ewww... lose those gears with that 4400 its probably a 4800 with that and a heavy car!

I picked up .465 adding a TCS 3500 2.5 str (replaced stock)... on a H/C motor! I like the product....how it will deal eith the twin turbo is a different question. Glad i got the Kevlar.

Yeah, it knocked my 2.09 60 to a 1.74

Derek should show his face doing this again, any outstanding issues could quickly be absored into his new biz! He was on the cutting edge, just looks like he want a little to far with experimenting near the end...
