Wanted to get my feet wet with headlight restoration, after i did mine, i figured i should do the people of the world a favor and do theirs too...so i started with my girlfriend's mom's REALLY rough Hyundai Tuscan Headlights. Now this is my second time doing this, but for really only using some 1000 grit wet sanding and some polishing compound, they didn't come out too bad, they have really heavy oxidation on the inside, but i did manage to get all the yellow haze and dirt, etc. off the outside.

Before and afters

Like i said, these were ROUGH. i did what i could, with what i could. but if anyone has a product list or step by step instructions that they use and care to share to a noob, please do! :) till than, i'll keep doing what i can to help rid the world of hazy, foggy headlights...

Start with 500 grit if there really bad then 800 then 1000 with soapy water then 3000 with soapy water then polish then they'll look great.

But that was a great improvement on those ^^^^ they where rough!!!

i dont like telling people to go under 800 but my headlights were so bad 800 didnt even touch the old clear, i had to go pretty low to get them somewhat decent,

Just remember to clear them or to get a UV protectant sealant or else you'll be sanding and polishing them again soon...
