Default ballpark numbers

Wondering if anybody can help me with some ballpark figures on my planned build. Also if I'm going in the right direction with my budget build. My plans for this 5.3 are to replace bearings and rings and leave the bottom end stock. .

Heads, with my funds I am looking for a good set of 243 or 799 casting heads to have milled, possibly a gasket match job as well, if these plans fall thru I will get the same work done on the stockers for now. How much am I safe
Milling these heads with a bigger cam before having clearance issues?? And will I be able to run pump gas?
Most likely getting a custom cam cut and go with whatever valvetrain is recommended with it.

Going with a carb setup and msd controller, intake port matched to the heads.

All of this is just my rough draft from a good bit of reading on here and some advice from a few posts in another thread I started.

This will be going in a S-10 with a stall not sure what size yet with a 4L60 trans daily driver/ 1/8th mile drag truck.

Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.

go with a custom cam call one of the sponsors and tell the what you have and what you want a 5.3L with 243/799 heads and a cam can get you in the 360 or so
