Tons of questions, last minute details? Wow, seems like everyone knows the program nowadays, which is nice.

From reading the title, I thought I was going to read about how we had more hair, more money in our pockets and so on. But, you said what you said. Could have been worse. :D

And I can drum up some last minute questions/details if you guys want them LOL....

Can we by chance park our cars inside the host hotel lobby?
Does the track have a "gentleman's" bar and can we visit it during race hours?
Can we stage with the back tires?
Is it possible to have the True Street 'street cruise' take place at the legendary Indy 500/Brickyard track?

 ;)

Here is another question, since we are not racing on public roads that are patrol by law enforcement - can we drink and drive while racing? Think about it, what could happen? We are only going 1320 feet in a straight line (hopefully/try too). We could have a list of liquor that would be allowed. :D

Just a thought.

Just a thought. :cheers:Official LSx Shootout Approved Liquor List:

Pro/Heads Up classes - beer only (Domestic and Canadian only for slick tired cars, Dutch beers permitted for drag radial users as well)

5th gen Camaro - beer, wine and anything and under 100 proof permitted (but only on Friday/Saturday)

Rumble and True Street - anything goes but ONLY if the racer can stay awake until after crossing the finish line, "sleeping at the tree" is strictly prohibited but only during eliminations

These rules are subject to change, the NMCA staff reserves the right to disqualify any participants for not drinking enough.

I think we need to consider a weight adder for those who make Home Brew.

Is ethanol consumption allowed?

I think we need to consider a weight adder for those who make Home Brew.True.

Any racer that chooses to consume home brew and/or one of the local micro brewer's products during elimination rounds:

+150 pounds for automatics (+100 for manuals) but can deduct 25 if on a tire smaller than 10.0"

For more information on the latest Home Brew Contingency Program and payouts please consult your 2011 NMCA rulebook.

Is ethanol consumption allowed? That depends, are you talkin' E60 or E85?

Don't quote me but I do believe that E85 consumption is permitted for NA racers but only during qualifying, fortunately E60 might be ok to drink during semis and finals for both NA and FI vehicles.
Oh wait, :thinker: those were the 2010 rules, nevermind. :nono:

Agreed all of you guys have (and continue to be) a great help to the event.

As for not many questions... I'd prefer to lean towards the "everyone is an old pro now" solution.

Guess we'll see in a few days.
