Went out to HRP for their 1st points race of the season. The weather was great. Not to warm and not to cold at least that is what my wife said. :D

Ok, now for the results;
I went 5 rounds. I red lighted in round 5 with a .009. I think my wife was more upset than I was, she really getting into drag racing. ;)

All I had to do was go green in the 5th round. The other guy had a .079 light and ran a 12.40 on a 12.36 run. I ran a 11.151 on a 11.15 dial in. I went over to talk to him after the run and he said thank you for red lighting because he ran way off his dail in. :P

My times were dead on and my light were very good also. I ran a best of 11.14 @ 115 with 60 foots from 1.50 to 1.45. :burn: I hit the rev limiter about 100 feet from the mph traps so my mph is not what it should be. I think if we would spin the motor more than 7,000 rpms it would run in the 10,s. I just don't want to hurt the little motor that could.

My reaction times were .036, .025, .007, .010 and -.009 not to bad except the last one. :eek2:

I want to thank my wife(Kayle), Andrew for the little motor that could, Valves Unlimited, Thunder Racing and Madman racing for all your help and support. :hail:

5 rounds aint too shabby Coach. They postponed our season opener till 3/14. And you know where I'll be. So I'll miss the season opener wich is good for double points. Looks like your getting off to a good start this year. Keep up the good work.

Hey Coach did you start racing during the day time and then as you went rounds was it dark out?

I always seem to red light more at night if I start racing during the day, the human eye will react faster at night off the tree.

I went out in the 3rd round at my last race .019 (day) .012(sunset) -.003 (night) All the reactions felt the same to me off the tree. Sucks because my opponent broke out and I ran right on the # like you did..

Someday we'll meet at a bracket race, that would be some awesome racing..you and I :drive: :drive:

We started during the day but elims were at night. I was thinking that just maybe I was in the beams a little to much on the last run. I try to just barely bump into the last stage light.

My wife and I are talking about driving to Fl. to see some family and do some bracket racing FL style this summer. ;)

Coach

Here's only bracket racing going on around that time, other race nights are just your basic test and tune.

June 5th: Bradenton Motorsports Park - 1/8m Bracket Race
June 12th: Moroso Motorsports Park - 1/4m Bracket Race **I will be racing in this..
June 12th: Bradenton Motorsports Park - 1/8m Bracket Race
June 19th: Orlando Speed World - NHRA / Summit Racing ET Bracket Series

If you do bring your car down and want to bracket race at Bradenton on the 5th, I'd drive up there with my car to see ya and race. Its about a 3-1/2 drive for me but if your in orlando its about 1-1/2 hours. If your gunna be here on the 12th come on down to Moroso in West Palm Beach, that is a points night for me. Your welcome to race if you bring your car, its only $800 to win on that night though.

Hey Coach are you going to the North vs South race?

June 19th: LS1tech Drag Race Series - North vs South

I have this on my race calendar at the moment, although I'm not looking forward to trailering the car almost to Chicago from South Florida.. it takes 8 hours just to get of the state :eek2:

Iam going to try and make the North vs South race. It all depends were Iam in the points at Lone Star and HRP at that time. Sounds like we will be able to race together this summer.

Coach,
Congrats on going some more rounds! :D I'm waiting on my return to the track April 3rd for the start of bracket racing.

Gainesville has a race the 12th of June for brackets, unfortunately the week before that is Fun Ford :scream: you can check out www.gainesvilleraceway.com (http://www.gainesvilleraceway.com) for more info. And you know the track that hosts the Gatornationals hooks! (most of the time  )
