I need to get my axles out of my broken moser 12 bolt. i have the brakes off and it looks like there is 4 bolts on the housing that need to be removed to pull an axle. the flange of the axle is in the way and has no access hole. how do you get to these bolts? i have ABS and that gear with the sensor is all up in the way also. its a real tight fit.

Should be able to get a wrench in there and loosen the nuts. I believe we took a old 14mm ( could be diff size) wrench and made it a hair thinner to make it past the abs reluctor wheel. Once those 4 nuts come off you can pop the axle out.

I was thinking about taking an old open end wrench and bending it at a slight angle and possibly grinding it down thinner. theres gotta be some trick to this. I cant belive they designed it this way when its a racing part and everyone swaps axles in and out and gear changes all the time.

use a regular open wrench and bang the brake shoe with your hand to loosen it and just shift it out of the way to get to the bolts....thats how i did mine

Yep, wrench is the way I have done. Slow but not too bad overall.
