Default 2001 WS6 vs. LS2 C6 *HD Vids*

Went out to Mexico tonight to get some runs in with my buddy.

His car: 2005 C6 M6

-Catback only

My car: 2001 WS6 M6

-Lid/LT's/ORY/555R's/Un-Tuned

We had a handful of runs, but unfortunately these were the only ones that came out decent. The second camera man bailed so the passengers weren't even for the races . I also just got a Monster Lvl 2, so pardon my bad launch on the Dig run (Still getting used to launching it). It's also worth mentioning that he is fairly new to driving stick, so there is room for improvement. He also had a full tank of gas. Anyways here are the runs, watch in HD:

Dig - Passenger in C6

http://youtu.be/RZQ3bMhzRUc

1st Gear - 30mph - Passenger in C6

http://youtu.be/JEz_Blz2DjU

2nd Gear - 45mph - Passenger in WS6

http://youtu.be/uDVTo9wGQxE

Overall I had a good time though. We're friends so it was all in good fun. Next week I'm getting a Ported TB, and two weeks after that I will FINALLY be getting a tune. We'll have to run after that with even passengers and see what the outcome is. I'm still upset we didn't get any even runs tonight, there's nothing I can do about it so I'll just have to wait and see.

Enjoy

Lol yea they were bad I don't know what happened, I was out though. 2nd gear was the best run we had all night, I wish we had even passengers though, outcome would have been closer.

Was he spinning bad or something on the 1st gear roll? Couldn't hear much sound on my mac. U guys trap near the same anyways so prolly why 2nd gear was so close cuz I doubt he has traction issues in 2nd

No I don't think so, I really don't know why I pulled bad on that run lol. The roll in 2nd gear was definitely the best race, he had me by about 1-1.5 cars by the time we let off. I really wanted to do it with even weight becuase it would have been close. I'm gonna have him come out to the track next time I go to see what he can do...although on stock tires I don't think it'll be pretty haha.

Haha thanks Marlon. Yea those first two runs made him look pretty bad, he redeemed himself on the 45 roll.

That's what I was thinking too, do the A6's trap similar to the M6's?

I would think they'd trap a little higher than an a6 but I doubt much. I'll look it up when I get home. Stop picking on those ls2s tho

Nice, figured u would get him on the dig since he's new to the car(stick shift)but on a roll too!good job.also I imagine the passenger in his car only makes so much difference since its a lighter car with better aerodynamics.Either way, very nice.

Nice races...I'm curious to see what happens after the tune.

The second race tho, I just wanted the vette guy to put it in neutral after the race! lol so much stress on the motor for nothing!

Shouldn't this be a closer race? What does the vette put down to the wheel? 250?

I'm shocked, i thought the vette would win easily with the weight advantage for sure... but Rob, you can bang those gears as good as anyone.

Just shows you how anything can happen on the streets.

Good stuff dude

That's what I was thinking too, his car is already quite a bit lighter than mine so him with a passenger evens it out. Thanks!

Thanks, I can't wait to get tuned and run him again either. And yeaaa I know what you mean it kills me every time I listen to him keeping it in 3rd forever lol. I almost edited that part out of the vid.

Lol it almost looked like that huh. The 45 roll was the best run we had. I honestly don't know what happened on the 1st gear roll. And the dig was just his inexperience in driving haha.

Thanks JT! I thought it was going to be a close race from the get go, I wish he had a little more time behind the wheel though so we could get a closer race. Thanks though, I love rowing through the gears .
