6LE Splitter
I'm thinking of eventually getting the 6LE splitter and painting it gloss black. Has anyone painted their splitter from 6LE, and if so, do you have pictures?
Eventually, I will be getting a manta stripe, whistler headlights, and blacked out side markers to add more black to the front end (all gloss finish).

if it counts for anything. i think it looks REALLY badass haha its functionality that counts with a splitter...atleast with me.

To answer the OP's question about painting the splitter, i would think that it would be very hard to tell the difference between a gloss splitter and the original color simply because of where it is on the car. Plus the paint would probably chip off pretty quickly. The reason i say that is because with it being on the front of the car close to the ground, you're gonna have some debris hitting it. I had painted a billet grill and within just a few weeks, it looked awful.

its 1/4" ABS...i think that is what 6LE uses if im not mistaken
i like his design, just couldnt justify that much money on one
the rods/heims are fully adjustable if i felt a need to make downforce and or upforce i suppose. also the round thing in the grille is removable for a velocity stack when it goes to the drag strip

I figured it was more of a functionality thing, just like what looks to be some type of kill trigger coming out of the grill. If you look past the braces, i think the car looks good, but I'm biased to red camaros with mantas, halos, and black ZR1's.

If you took off the splitters and all that other ****, painted the rods black to match the car the that **** would look sick... Right now it looks like my Jr. High girlfriend who had that crazy head gear..... refine it a little man and you got a winner...

In all your car is different and stands out putting down pretty good numbers as well. No one can hate on that,

I have owned many many different cars and been on several different forums and I have to say, even though I like this car and forum the most, it is the most close minded.... God forbid someone try something out of the norm...

Something out of the norm? Yes. Does it also look bad? Yes.

I like the red and black theme on the car, but the front end is REALLY not my cup of tea.
