Sounds like someone is bragging...

Great times! Only a 1.89 from me so far in a much heavier car with no where near as much motor on a shake down pass.

Pft, i wish i was in the 1.4s, i am 1.55 give or take all day, but then again, the new clutch that i put in there grabs way harder, but could cause the tires to break loose now, kind of scared to try, LOL.

I was running 1.55+ with a 28 so thought I would go back to a 26" slick to see if they would improve. Bam instant success. Now to lose a little more weight. Trying to get the 60' in the lo1.4 range.

I had a lot of issues hooking and was always hit or miss.
I was told to set the rear shocks stiff so the power could plant the tires....worn out mono springs were no help :(
I went to 4 leaf replacement springs and had the shocks at 3,4,and (Rancho 5 ways) but after a lot of searching I found my rear springs were too stiff now :o....so I started at 1 on the shocks....wow what a difference....matching my best 60' and pulls a tire too :D

Now I need to try really hitting it to see if it'll stick.

! went out this Friday night to Lucas oil Raceway at Indianapolis and ran the Friday Night Rage event. It was hooking really good. The temps were in the 60's and low 50's at night.

My car cut a 1.32 on the first pass and 1.31 on the second pass. Leaving at 4000 on the trans break. Th400 with a 5000 converter. The race weight is 2700lbs. It really liked the cool air.

I just went to a mustang chassis guy and learned a great deal. He weighed the car and gave me some tips on better subframe connectors running directly under the seats and tying into the front subframe and lower control arm boxes. Also supporting the uppers by tying them into the cage. PA and driveshaft angles weight distribution and such.

I have been 1.35 with a 4.01 330' in bowling green
this weekend at 131 went 1.37 with a 3.96 330' The 60' is 22" longer here.

I would expect this to be a 1.33 low 1.34 if the clocks were right.

Converter is where it is at

i think with some chassis tuning and a few things were gonna fix over the winter it has 2-3 tenths left in it on motor still
oh,and this engine was built to spray ,so its got a little left in it im sure;)

The heads are great
i was being a smart ass, as everyone says how great square ports are and cath ports are dead
But this car would run 9.20s or better in 0ft d/a like some guys get to at sea level, so they must not be that bad i suppose
