Default Trans Am vs Turbo Mustang rematch, CBR 600

Well here's another race between my turd Trans Am and the 2v that can't possibly be fast. My car now has a 4l80 instead of a 6 speed now. Mods are full bolts ons, trex cam, 4.11 gears. My car made 390 through the auto and a 9 inch today. He made 475 on 9 psi and 430 ish on 7 psi. Minor weight reduction.

20-130

Mustang on 9 psi

Mustang on 6 psi

Mustang on 6 psi when I had the 6 speed for comparison.

Vs CBR 600 w/ exhaust, ~50-140. He let me jump because he couldn't hear the horn over the cutouts. I was on nitrous for this one. Made 490/530 on the bottle.

Yes I realize the videos suck, again. I spent my camera money on a transmission.

wow you found a pretty quick 2v, i think ford has an award for photos ,or vids of one, and i even heard there coming out with a show called the hunt for a fast 2v, heard the crew that looks for big foot is going to do the searching because they are doing such a good job finding bigfoot lol

I'm still saying something's wrong with the way your car accelerates. You should have outran the bike on spray.

i would agree with hiossilver, with your mods it should be running alot better than it seems like it does,on spray that thing should be beyond a best even with the drain from the trans,

Nice runs. That is a quick 2v. But maybe I read wrong no run with you on the spray with him?

Also like to see the 2v vs the bike.

Good races, that GT moves out! How do you like the auto?

If the bike was starting in 1st gear (should be able to at that speed) then it went just like I expected with a good rider.

The car had low bottle pressure on maybe a half full bottle. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with that trans am.

Thanks I'm loving the auto, it moves out pretty hard.

So guys now the cars slow because it should pull 600's? What a ******* joke. I could race anything out there and if I beat it you'll call it a turd before you admit that 2v is fast. I love it.

To put this car into perspective, OP also had a FC h/c LS1 rx7 that ran damn good and still lost to that bike by more than two cars. So a car that weighed almost 1000lbs less than the trans am lost to the same bike by more.

What's your car run in the 1/4? On the bottle you should be in the 10's with that much power....that means you should out run a 600.

No times yet, last night was the first time I've ever driven the car with auto or spray. My tuner is supposed to have a track rental coming up. I'll post up results.

Edit- I hate to be the guy that makes excuses but this was the last pull I was able to make on nitrous. There will be a rematch when I have a full bottle and good pressure. Bottle Pressure was about ~950 in this video.

You can't use the 1/4 mile numbers of a car and bike and apply the results to a roll race between the two.

everybody is slow compared to hiosilvers all motor ls6. even cars that have 490rwhp are slow and should kill a bike because he would have.

even if they run 10's. damn son you are ohioborn80 in reverse.

It is relivant to a extent. It's still time to distance vs trap speed. He should out run 600's with his mods and sprayin.

Did I say anything about me? I never said he was slow but he should be able to stay beside a 600 atleast. Most 600's won't go tens @ over 125 unless there tied down and the rider don't care about the clutch. My fz6 (r6 motor) did 11.8@118 (with Givi trunk and touring windsheild) and I have outran other 600's on it back when it was newer. I'm sure they have'nt gained much power since '05....maybe 5-8hp.

He sat there and posted a video of another car with more power getting beat by a 600. Your point has already been proven wrong.

PSM and I have run on the same day at the same track and I beat him by 1 tenth and 1 mph (11.0 @ 127 to his 11.1 @ 126 mph). I beat him by almost 2 tenths in the 60' (1.68 to his 1.85). In the 1/8 mile, however he's beating me by 3 mph (100 to his 103) and at those speeds, his bike is not accelerating nearly as hard as it does in the 40-70 mph range. If you put the 600 in the meat of it's powerband in 1st gear it's going to rock a car that traps the same as it in the 1/4 mile.

Hell, I raced a friend, who weighs 60lbs more than PSM, on his 2003 ZX6R, and he still got out in front of me from a 50 roll. I got even with him at the top of 4th and had to shift 5th to put a car on him by 140 mph (I had 4.10's at the time).

Did you swap an R6 motor into your bike? If not, then your "R6 based" motor was not the same thing as an R6 motor. The FZ6 was rated 98hp and the R6 was rated 124hp. Also, the FZ6 weighs 423lbs while the R6 weighs 357lbs. Unless the deck was stacked severely, an FZ6 would be a turd in comparison.

In '05 there was 8hp difference and the weight was closer. I don't know about the new stuff, but I can tell you from riding with other 600's when all was newer it was a tit for tat run. No doubt the new ones are faster/more pwerfull.
