Default Another noob tire question....

Gents,
My wife's 2000 SS is pictured below. It is all stock except for being lowered (2 inches on Eibachs) and subframe connectors.

It is currently running 275's all the way around. I'm old school and a fan of the bigger tire in the rear appearance. It doesn't get raced or driven hard, and I don't want to tear it up to mount new tires. Some while back I had 315's on my 95z and they would rub the wheel well slightly when I really got on it. Are 305's as big as it' going to get assuming no wheel change/spacers/etc?

If you want to mount 315s out back, you're gonna need 11" wide rear wheels. That being said, yes they will rub a little. Rolling your fenders will almost certainly be required with a 2" drop.

I've got 315s on mine with about a 1" drop and the tires rub in one spot ever so slightly. I have yet to roll the fenders and if I have weight in the back, big bumps result in the tire contacting the fender lip.

Thanks fellas. I knew there had to be somewhere on here where that had been discussed in agonizing detail. I should have looked a little harder. My
95z used to rub on occasion when I got on it and it used to drive me nuts.
