Bolt on M6 Z28 vs H/C/I A3 Z28
I was going to buy this SOM Z28 but the guy sold it to his friend...that showed up at the local spot and I wanted to see if I almost had a monster or a lemon so I asked for a quick run or 2. He has TSP 2.5 Heads, G5X3 cam, Kooks headers, mufflex 3" catback, dyno tune, Fast 92 intake and what seemed like a accufab TB. TH400, 9" rear end, 3.55 gears, drag radials.

Good Run. Looked like u spun pretty hard off the line. Time for some more mods and try to run him down. Not bad though, considering his mods, and the fact that auto's tend to get better and more consistent launches (in my opinion)

Thanks ghost, and sw07gt, I am, but at the same time I still see a little bit of potential in it I could unlock. He didn't even know what was done to it and thought it was an LS3. I had to tell him the cam that was in it

Think u did pretty good for an m6 with bolt ons if u ask me.The SOM deff has potential, just look at the mods. Does it have a Stall? also, does any1 else think that the som should have pulled more on the top end? (second half of the track, err street lol)

3800 stall. "full" suspension but I didn't even see relocation brackets. it's minitubbed, this thing was going to be a killer deal. I know it has potential and I knew what it needed. Sucks that some guy that doesn't know anything about it got it and plans on only driving it on fridays. Surges like a MFer, needs a re-tune so I gave him my tuners card.

Man if u given him ur tuners card, NOT sportsmanship, i dont know what is lol. Man with those mods you would think it should be faster, not that ur car is slow. Do you think it needs Tires and a tune for its full potential?

It has 315 drag radials. he was spinning less than I was, I think it needs the exhaust after the headers re-done (or cut-outs) and a GOOD tune and it will be a beast. The catback is supposedly a 4" mufflex, but I think it's just a mufflex muffler...cause the pipes were shitty over the knee bends that only looked like 3". Comes to show, a list of nice mods doesn't just instantly make for a fast car...heh, I want a cam
