Default Build up choices for my LS1

Been researching for some time now on building up my LS1 in my Ute, Gotta say, heaps of info, but hard to make it all meet together to produce a sweet reliable Street combo for daily driving and the occasional Strip run.

ATM I'm looking at building a Nice rotating assembly, with forged pistons, Rod and stock crank, balanced and polished. Originally I was going to stay stock bottom end with upgraded rod bolts, But, I'm starting to lean towards NOS, so decided to upgrade, That way, no matter what I do "with in reason" the bottom end will hold out.

Cam and heads is were I'm stuck atm, Unsure of good porters in AU other than John Barb, so thinking of a set of LS6 heads to be sent off to him for a port, or Hunt around for a nice set of AFR 210's or similar from other tuners. I can get a set of GM performance heads via my local dealer.

I'm keen on the Voodoo series from Lunati, but then again, so many to choose from, so rounded down to 3
20540711 60511 Rpm2000 - 6600 .567"/.567" 222/228 272/278 113/109 Hyd/Hyd .Should see a great Daily driver with plenty up its sleeve.

20540717 60517 2200 - 6800 .651/.651 227/231 278/282 112/108 Hyd/Hyd
Still drivable, but getting cranky.

Nitrous/Blower
20540723 60523 Rpm2200 - 6800 .651/.651 227/239 278/290 112/108 Hyd/Hyd. I like this one due to the Fact a blower could be seen in quite a few years on the Ute, saves me pulling it back down, and it likes Nitrous.

Will be pushing this threw a t56 with a few upgrades and a 3.73 diff ratio. Would like to see over the 500Hp at the Flywheel N/A, probably pushing **** up hill, but its worth a try!. Manifold will be a LS6 for now, but a ported Fast will arrive at some stage. although, would prefer to do it all in one hit, save a few bucks that way.

Any thoughts on this set up or other set-up, or other's would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
TH

If you are open to shipping from the US I would give texas-speed a call and I'm sure they can throw a nice package together for you. There are just as great companies out there as well that can help u a lot. Most of them are our sponsors. If you want true performance that's the way I would. That way you can match your heads with you cam and match everything with you wants. Good luck
