Default LQ9/4l80e (6l80e?) into 1995 Ford Bronco

Hello everyone. I have complained about my 5.8L (351w) 4x4 Bronco fuel economy (9-14mpg hwy) for only having 220hp/320tq stock 140,000 miles ago. haha

I kicked the idea around of swapping in a LSx series and after looking into California smog laws, I have to use a truck motor so the LQ9 gets the nod. I found a buyer for my 351/E4OD/transfercase and now need to start looking into actually doing something besides running my mouth........thoughts? I was worried I'd have to change the gauges but it looks like there are adapters for the speedo and tach out there. I will use a stock harness modified for my needs but it needs to retain OBD2 capability and pass self checks.

Does this all seem possible? I still have lots of searching and reading to do but figured I'd post up now. THANKS!!
