Default now having some issues.

-Hey guys my other thread i am talking about dumping 3500 worth of mods into car. But now am having some issues. Im getting some hesitation/stalling on acceleration. The code its throwing is basically saying faulty cat converter. Would a bad cat cause it do this? Usually i know if there clogged the car will just feel real sluggish. But this is when im on hard acceleration it hesitates and sometimes stalls out. It also threw a code for random misfire but the main one was faulty cat. 2000 trans am ls1 M6 70k on the clock. Any help would ideas guys? the research i have done is saying maybe clean maf sensor? also the car is bone stock no mods yet.

Just weird said random misfires as well also threw a o2 code im pretty sure. starts and idles fine just under medium to hard accel it hesitates and misfires. The ses light blinks sometimes as well while its acting this way.

I had that simliar issue on my 99ss I threw a o2 sensor code it was running like ****, sluggish. I change the passanger side o2sensor before the cat(thats what came up on the code) and it was running fine after that...might wanna check if u got a bad o2 sensor, I had the same issue on my 02 mustang gt sure enough bad 02sensor good luck

O yeah my 99ss threw a misfire code because of the bad o2 sensor, after I changed it, it was good...o2 sensor or bad cats seems like.

Confirm with the code, I know those o2 sensors aint cheap 50bucks apiece and theres four of them...I only changed out the bad one, and it wad good...it went out after I put the after market exhaust on.

Ill get it read again and post code number.

Well had it on two different scanners neither one is showing any codes now. on the way up there it bucked and hesitated also the tach stopped working briefly then its like it came out of it. crank shaft position sensor was replaced bout 500 miles ago. I am clueless no codes now...

If it is the converter or even the 02's go ahead and throw some longtubes on it to get ride of the converters anyways and buy some bosch corvette 02's there longer so you don't have to extend them.

If it is for a cat, then cat could be clogged and car would perform poorly (need new cat - or headers and delete the cats), if the code was a front O2 sensor, could would perform poorly and you would need a new sensor.

well it threw the light again tonight. Ill post codes up tomorrow after i have em read. Car started bucking tonight and threw ses light also the tach stopped working when all this was going on. so weird...Car only has 70k hope its something simple i truly love my ta...

i do remember one code also saying loss of communication to power train module or something of that sort along with random mis fire and cat code. Ill have em read tomorrow and post up codes.

Ok i know this probably doesn't help. But the guy at auto zone cleared codes before i could get a print out. But the four codes were for catalytic converter operating under threshhold. Thing is like i said before when it stalls out the tach stops working properly so i may replace cam sensor and see if this helps.

P0420 is the code its throwing but seems to be missing and hesitating when it has this little episode the tach stops working
