Northwest Members - Which muffler for LT's/Catted Y w/LM1??

I have pacesetter longtubes and TSP catted-y with loudmouth 1. It's too damn loud. I didn't think I would say that but after having the setup for 6 months, it is too loud. Main thing is it's loud when you don't want it to be. Sounds great at idle and little revs, but like if I'm downtown getting on it I'm sure any cop within a 3 block radius literally will be like WTF.

Sooo should I get LM2, borla xr-1 or magnaflow??? I've poured over you-tube videos but it's too hard to tell on them what I want.

WHAT SHOULD I GET?? Can't make up my mind to save my life.

I've always liked the sound of the Magnaflow and also the SLP Dual/Dual. Absolutely LOVE the sound of the SLP 2OTL, but most people don't like having two tips on the left side only.

And does the magnaflow still sound good at idle?

What about just switching to a LM2 muffler instead of the resonator?

My camaro has a cam, Tyler_LS1 just has LT/ory/catback IIRC

I think magnaflow sounds good its somewhat mellow at idle and cruise but sounds great at higher rpm. I agree with mike that the dual dual also sounds good. Both are a more clean crisp sound rather than rasp loud of the lm1

My set up is LT's, no cats, 3" x pipe going into two 2-1/2 LM2's..

I'm stuck on these things and probably won't buy anything else.

And hmmm...I have a catback so should I swap out the resonator, or have 2 lm2's after the axel?

Maybe I'll start by swapping out the resonator and see where that puts me.

the LM2 necks down, its not 2.5" all the way thru. i had an lm2 on my first ss thats how i know. the LM1 does not choke down but its alot louder

Yeah, I wonder how much the necking effects it...obviously if it even necks down a little it will resrict somewhat. But I kinda doubt it would be noticeable.

Gonna throw a cam in maybe heads too in a few months. I got 342 whp 360 rwtq now with full boltons. I wanna get 500 at the crank or as close as I can get!

Got the muffler last week or so, gonna throw in on in a few weeks when I get back from vaca.

It does next down some. That's for sure. I would doubt enough to really make a difference in airflow though...I'll post up a vid when I get it welded in in a few weeks! Going to the NAM for 2 weeks!!
