5.3 base tune w/ cam etc... Questions I have a 2004 5.3 pickup motor that I put a professional products ls6 intake and a gm performance asa cam w/springs in it. Everything else is stock(heads etc). I have a pcm with a base tune on it from an 01 tahoe 5.3 with vats and all that deleted. I know I need to get this tuned but been debating about putting heads on it as well and thought I'd wait on the tune till then when I can afford the heads. So my question is... Can I safely run it as is with the cam and intake on it or will I have some major problems?

I never did try to fire it yet as I have a few things to finish up on it yet and I didn't know if I should try to fire it or if I need it tuned first.
