Hey guys,

So I'm trying to get together a good list of online stores to buy things from.

I found a few but they only shipped to the usa.

Where do you guys pickup most of your stuff? spings, shocks, cai, stereo stuff, gm replacement parts.. ect?

Thanks!!!

Suspension; Strano, he can use DHL (shipping was reasonable): other stuff; Ebaymotors. Lots of places ship to Canada, search the specific part and pick the vendors that do. Request that they ship USPS (United States Postal Service) it is cheapest. For larger parts, stuff that USPS wont handle (>$400 or >$600 not sure) DO NOT LET THEM SHIP UPS!!! After all the added costs for stuff for a $100 item, UPS handling, brokerage and Can Customs ($15) total was $97.00 !!! They are bandits. On top of that, they were slower than Can Post/USPS for my misplaced outgoing item so it took forever - no recourse at all. ANY shipper but UPS, trust me.

Hmm interesting.
I will have to check that out, was hoping there was something like americanmuscle that I used for a lot of mustang parts.

Never really used ebay before.

Its tough, not bad for us in southern ontario. Just a 40min drive to cross the border. You might try a dedicated race shop that can bring in parts for you without having to pay the brokerage fee. I bought a lot of parts used just because I could get the seller to send US post. A lot of the bigger vendors wouldn't ship by anything other then UPS or FedX

^ OJ is right. OP is from Alberta, I guess you have MOPAC out there, I've used them too and saved a little bit of $ over ordering from USA. They are distributers for a lot of stuff. I used to deal with Eric there, but he has changed depts, but can still be reached. I found him knowledgeable about the products they sell, having done installation of many of the parts on customers' cars not to mention his own. Try them, they have an 800 number too, free call!

Some from the USA and as OJ said make the drive to the border. Jegs is not too bad either, plus I have a local place that has been giving me very fair prices.

I have a post office right acroos the U.S border from me (1 hour away) so I use that. I buy from Jeg's,Summit and alot of flee-bay. There's alot of really good deals out there, also check kijiji and change the cities. Some guys will ship, some don't. All depends how big a hurry your in for getting parts to you.

Try Hawks Third Generation Parts. I've had good experiences with them, they have used stuff as well and will ship USPS (or whatever your preference, size dependant) to Canada. Many on this site (and other Camaro forums) recommend them as good vendors. They have a store on Ebaymotors...

That place is massively, massively over priced.

I've had nothing but good to say about JB's performance in Edmonton, generally they're on par with summit's prices. Mopac is hit in miss in Calgary or Edmonton, depends who you deal with. As far as online, I used shox.com for some bilsteins a year back around christmas and they had free DHL to canada!

If your in Alberta I often ship larger items to these guys in Sweetgrass Montana right at the border who are set up to help Canadians. Its a daytrip so I usually go down with like minded enthuisasts to share gas.

UPS is death crossborder but its ok sent to sweetgrass. Everything else is USPS or nothing. USPS will take heavier packages than Canada Post will. I have had cylinder heads and a Grand National driveshaft shipped USPS. My posty hates me but thats ok.
