Default Piston Ring/Rod Assembly ?

Now before I get some heat i have searched but have not found anything. Im going to buy a core and rebuild it myself but I have no clue which way the rods go and how to install rings... anyone care to take some time to explain or send me in the right direction?

Buying one of the Ls1 build books is a good place to start.

Also get the right tools to get the job done and blueprint the engine upon installation.

How to rebuild GM LS-Series Engines
How To Build And Modify GM LS- Series Engines.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is...+rebuild+books
I have both of these books. The modify book gives good info on most popular aftermarket mods. And torque specs and sequence for stock and ARP fasteners.
Hope this helps.
