Default 4th gen motor swap

i currently have a third gen with a 355 making estimated 400-425hp. im looking to upgrade to a fourth gen camaro but was woundering weather it would be worth it in terms of putting a carb small block in or weather i should make a hybrid and stuff the motor into a fox body. also was woundering if you can drop a v8 into a v6 4th gen using the stock v6 crossmember or if i would have to find a v8 car, or v8 crossmember to swap in? any info on this would be greatly appreciated

There are a few threads in the sbc/bbc forum that will answer all of your questions. My 94 used to have a carb'd 383. In my opinion it was blast...but not worth it. Stick that motor in a fox body or pick up an LS fbody. As for the crossmember, the lt1 mounts will only bolt up to two of the bolt holes. You can run stock xmember with a motor plate or pick up an aftermarket k-member.
