Default Brake Squeak?

Need some brake experts in here.....

I just dropped in a Strange 12 Bolt and everything went great. The only nuisance is that the rear squeaks when I hit something sudden but subtle. Over big dips or gradual transitions, it does not squeak. My friend is suspension/rear end expert at a Chevy dealership, and does good work. He got underneath the rear of the car, and I continually pushed the rear of the car up and down to reproduce the squeak. After 20 minutes, we could not isolate the squeak. Then, just for kicks, we locked up the parking brake and bounced the car again.

No noise. I released it, drove away and it squeaked loudly again over short hard bumps. He suspects that it is the brake backing plates that Strange mounted at the factory. He said they a should put grease in there when mounting the plates. I don't where the fug he's talking about. When I mount the DR's next week, he said we'd go back in and grease it up.

Does this make sense? I know jack **** about brakes.

Thanks in advance....
