Made 3 passes. The DA was -187. 1st was best of the night at 11.918 with 60' of 1.670. 2nd pass I spun off the line but still did a 12.4 60' of 2.something lol. 3rd pass was 11.937 with the best 60' of 1.666 and this is the pass that is in the vid. Thanks to Brian (BDKZ28) for recording the vid!
Heres the 2 slips of 1st, 3rd, and vid of 3rd pass. Im left on the slips.

Yes sir and I may just go up on a early morning test and tune before they close. I believe I could get a 11.7 in -1000 da.
Yea those damn manuals are savages on the rear but im sure you would get 11s in colder air. When my car was just bolt on no stall it did 13.19 in +2200 da then did 12.6 in -1000 da.

I really wasnt expecting to hook on that one. LOL!!!!

Hey nice car dude. Do you normally have any luck on street nights? I always get there first in line on street nights so I can at least get 1 great pass in. Im gonna start going on test and tune early morning.

The first and best run of the night I just punched it. I havent been able to figure out whats best on my car because the track on street nights gets so fucked up everything just ends up inconsistent. This is another reason ill be doing test and tune from now on so I can figure out what my car likes without the ricers draging the water box down the track lol

Thanks yes I weighed it last summer and was 3190 with 1/4 tank gas. Since then I added the carpet back but I modified it so only weighs 20-25lbs. Then I took front swaybar off. So im guessing the car is around 3200 with 1/4 tank gas if the scale was accurate from last summer that is.

3190 was exactly what my car weighed at the track last time too. I just pulled the front bumper support but I added a nitrous plate kit.

Oh hell no. I would have to gut my car to get that. Or spend big bucks. Im like 210lbs then another 10-20lbs for the stuff I bring up there with me

I was thinking on test and tune at ned instead of street night. Should be able to get a good 9am run in with the da at least -1000. In a week or 2 should be high 30s low 40s at 9 am. Plus test and tune track prep is way better than street night. Think I have a chance at getting on the 50 all time quickest list for stock internal bolton only? #50 is 11.747. How much quicker ya think the car would run with 1000 better da?

There is such thing as too cold and the Track goes away and tires r too hard Mid 50's to low 60's r good but u need to get your 60 ft times to low 1.6's to high 1.5's ! Front skinnies ,Lower control arms & Adjustable Torque Arm and u should make the list w/ no problem !

Last year my 12.6 w/stock stall was in 38 degree weather. Tires heated up good and I can imagine the track was cold at 38 degrees. Probably would be a little tougher to hook with my stall now though. I should get some more hoosiers they are 7lbs a piece lighter. Then borrow some skinnies for the front!

1000' change in DA is around a tenth/mph from what ive experienced

I have experienced different in most cases. For example...my car stock stall with same boltons I have now did 13.197 in 2265 da. Then same car did 12.638 in -1245 da. That math says in 3510 better da my car picked up .559

I looked up another one. Compairing the 13.197 in 2265 da to a week later the da was 2062 and car did 13.087. In this case the math says in 203 better da the car picked up .11

Ok so im racking my brain tonight and have another comparison. 13.197 2265 da compaied to a 12.740 in -249 da same car. Math says in 2514 better da car picked up .457

I know there other variables like wind but from my experience it seems my car picks up a tenth in 500 or so better da.

No, if your dead hooking at 32 keep it there, you will gain nothing, and possibly lose time, if you were to lower them.

Like was said, run the highest pressure you can while still getting it to hook.

Thats what I thought. I always keep 32 psi in them and checked them before I left but im sure they lost a couple because of the colder weather. They were probably more like 28-30psi.

there are a lot of variables, that is why its important to have a routine to follow in between runs. the best DA wont make up for 130* IAT temps. i have all my runs from this season saved and kept track of changes as well as notes written on slips. 1320go.com is an awesome tool as well.

i believe that, and that is great! ii wish i could hook on 32psi. i run 20-21psi hot. as previously said, run the most psi you can, less will only create a higher rolling resistance.

I hate to bust your chops, but in drag racing the first person to the finish line is the winner unless you red light or cross lanes. So, he did beat you. But, congratulations on the excellent numbers for a bolt on. Now practice those trees! I have a $2.99 practice tree app on my cell phone that helps keep me sharp. Highly recommended.

Oh yea no doubt iat have a big factor but I dont really have that problem. The ssra thats on my car keeps iat the same as outside air. Even when the car isnt moving its always within a few degrees of outside air. I did a nice test last year http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-racing-results/1347777-another-ram-air-test-proof-works.html If you dont have one I would get one.
Looks like some cool stuff on that site ill check that out!

Thats the reason I was asking because I thought even though I was hooking I cant say for sure it was perfect hook. Thought maybe less air could give a better 60" but overall I dont wanna lose total time in 1/4.

It won't work with a cell phone app, but there are little electronic box practice trees that you can hook up to your brake light switch. That would be a slick foot brake simulation. I would just hate to see you get beat with money on the race by a car that is a half second slower while you were taking a nap. :rotflmao:

No I totally get what your saying and I was actually really thining about putting all the weight back after I get the best time possible. But it would just suck driving on the street knowing that my car would be now slower incase someone wants to race. I totally get it. Not having a/c in the summer, no pass seat for my girl, no bumper supports front or rear ect...seriously I may just put everything back. When I get a cam it should make up the weight increase and then some right?!
YES! Money is always the issue. In case no one has noticed our whole financial system is ready to crash and some of us are trying to get a couple tenths out of our cars lmao:burn: I should probably just stop. The goal was 11s and I got it but I see #50 on the all time bolt on only list is 11.74. I didnt get a -1000 da like I wanted so now of course I want more lol. Kinda foolish :burn:
Well my setup is
3.23,
275 40 17 all around on zr1 yokohama on front and mt drs on back,
stock suspension with front sway bar deleted,
pretty much the things in sig...
lid, k&n filter, ssra, arh lts with their catted y (gutted), non adjustable borla, ss3600 stall, tuned by slowhawk, weight reduction and me + my back pack that I take racing is like +220lbs. Thats really it not to much.

Thats why im wishing I would of kept my hoosier drs vs the mts I had now. The hoosiers are 7lbs lighter a piece. If I was you I would either get a 15x3.5 and 15x10 drag pack with hoosier drs. Thats what I wanna do or at least just get more hoosier 275 40 17s for my zr1s. I hear ya on the cam I want one to but money is and issue.

I really want to, but money is getn a little tight at the moment so I am looking for some front skinnies and puting a stickier 275 on when these tires start to run low.

It was 58 deg. @ 9:29 pm w/ a -226 DA so it had to do a lot w/ Suspension so pimp your ass out to some old lady to afford it if u have to !!!!!! lmao

I would rather run .2 slower full weight than .2 quicker with no carpet/seats/ac/radio/etc... Don't pay attention to the fastest lists, you will never be happy because there is always someone faster. Have fun and make it faster for you.

A pair of skinnies (welds/pro stars/etc whatever you can find for cheap) will knock .1-.2 off. They can be had with tires shipped for around 350$ usually. Or sell your complete setup and buy a drag setup.. Whichever you prefer.
Cutout 40$
You keep the backpack in while racing? And it weighs 220#? Find somewhere to drop that bitch during a pass.
Take your filter out when you run.
Inflate your front tires a little bit higher during runs.
Run with the highest PSI # possible without spinning in rear.
Front shocks.. You can get lakewoods pretty cheap.. I saw a set of LCAs on here the other day for like 30$... I see them regularly for 75$.

Just a few thoughts to help out a little..

I hear ya on that one. Iv been laid off for a long time it sucks. Keep in mind those 275 40 17 hoosier drs are only 22lbs. I loved them. Ill get hoosiers again for the track when I can.

No lol the backpack is like maybe 10lbs and im 200-210 depending on what day of the week it is lol.
Yea I know what you mean totally. My goal was just to break 11s with the car I have now then done deal. But then I see the top 50 list and my brain automaticaly tells me I have another goal lol. Its complete madness man I love drag racing. I usually start getting obsessive with it when we are talking about weight and taking .1 off a time. I should just stop and put the stuff back on the car and enjoy it on the street. I cant even tell you how many times iv have the carpet out and seats. I did end up putting the carpet back a few months ago but I modified it. Oh well decisions decisions :argh:

Do you run the same wheel setup all the time or throw skinnies on at the track?

Congrats on the 11s passes.I say going to a 4000 stall your 60ft are probably drop to 1.52-1.55 so a tenth better so take of 2 tenths off your time..11.7s.You running cats or not because that's another 15 pounds off your car too. I'm hoping to be in the 11s when the tracks open back up in March. I got a SS4000/373s/new Knock sensors/NGK TR55/MSD Wires/Drag wheels/Tune/weight reduction.

Ya but when I hit a 11s N/A SI then I'm going the easy route and adding nitrous oxide. But I might do Heads/Cam before that..

Its never ending. If we could afford jet engines on our cars Im sure we would do that :jest:

Ill be going up again in a like 2 months and going to take advantage of alot cooler air. There will be most likely about a 1000 drop in da. Think I can bring these 11.9s down to 11.7s? I bet I can come at least very close.
