Default How to raise ride height on front adjustable QA1 shocks?

So I have the QA1 12 way adjustable front shocks and I am wanting to raise it a little bit to help with my weight transfer issue. My question is do I need the special spanner wrench tool to turn the **** the springs sit on for lowering/highering it? Or can I do it with something else?

Yes you need a QA1 spanner wrench to adjust the height. The QA1 part # is T114W and run around $18.00 each. If your kit was installed with out the optional thrust bearing kit you will only get a small turn at a time so it will take a little to get the height up.

I hope this helps!

Ok so I bought these with the same part number as you mentioned above, but they were only $20 shipped for the both of them from summit? Did I get the right set?

Yes that'll do it!
IMO, I'd spray the threads above the spring seats with some type of lubricant, and wear a pair of grippy gloves.

Also, for example: if you want to raise it 1", raise the spring seat about 1/2", or 1/2" then move the spring seat up 1/4", and so on....

Thanks for the advice, but you confused me with how you said to raise it a bit lol. How many turns will = 1"?

Try this:Measure from the bottom of the shock were the threads start up to the bottom of the jam nut, below the actual spring seat. Write this measurement down it's your reference point, so now if you want to maybe raise the ride height up about 1" you'll want to adjust the spring seat up about 1/2".
I hope that makes a little more sense.

Ohh ok I got ya now. So however much you raise the seat is actually about half of what you want your ride height to be heightined? And couldn't I measure up half an inch on the thread and put a peice of tape or something and just adjust it up tell I get there?

You could just mark it directly below the jam-nut with a black marker or a piece of tape.
