Yea it sucks because that was a really nice car. Glad he is ok, but I will say, I think the fuel cell placement was a terrible choice. Up front within a few inches of the turbo's, was a little asinine in my opinion. Hope he get's it up and running again. We will see if he can bring it back after a tear down inspection of the fire damage and chassis.
Edit: I would also hope Precision Turbo steps up to the plate for the Lynch Mob and figures out the issue with their turbo. Others have been having a similar issue with the same turbo. Here is a pic of it if you haven't seen it yet.

^^^^ Yeah it would suck to have to drive that around for sure. Lol
Yeah I agree they didn't think that through all the way but in their defense how often does a turbo come apart like that? I don't think it is a great idea because of the heat generated on that side of the turbo. Those things glow red at times and a plastic fuel cell seems like a bad idea that close to the turbo.

I'm sure precision is going to take care of Tim, Proline spends a LOT of money with them.

man this really sucks, Precision has been having a lot of issues with their high end turbos lately. i personally know of a few others having issues, luckily not this bad though. Precision stepped up to the plate to fix those problems so i would imagine they would do the same here. but on the flip side i wonder ho much more bracing there was holding the turbos in place. or if they were being supported by that bung welded on the exhaust side, i wonder if that was part of the problem?

If it was plastic it would have melted like the rest of the car. When you are building a car like this there is not much room to put stuff. I'm sure they thought about the placement but never expected the turbo to blow up. **** happens during racing...
