I was a little disappointed with the performance of the car but considering it was in pieces last week and a mad thrash to get it finished, I guess its a small miracle it made it down the track at all.

Last week Monday

Friday in Indy
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/VDJHouse/WS6/th_1318219546.jpg (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v608/VDJHouse/WS6/?action=view&current=1318219546.jpg)

I had a bunch of small "gremlins" that plagued me all week. Broken throttle end, broken throttle cable (both caused by the pedal bending under full throttle), wiring connections that worked lose in the Nitrous system, and a reverse inhibit solenoid malfunction that allowed me to try and shift 2-Reverse, and then I bogged off the line and missed a shift in eliminations.

I hopefully will get all the bugs worked out and make a few more test passes this year and get the car back to where it should be.

Special Thanks goes out to...
Eric and the MWC Crew for thrashing and getting the chassis done and the help at the track
Promax for freshening up the short block
AJ for helping me get it done and wrenching on it with me at the track
And my wife for being so understanding

Even with all of this I still had a blast seeing everyone and hanging out (when I wasn't working on the car)

RS Guys
BES - Car was running good Congrats on the times, I wish I had more for you in the 6-Speed showdown elimination round.

Lingenfelter Crew - Awesome car, glad to see that your getting it figured out and making some good passes, it was nice talking with you

LS1Excitement Crew - Was sorry to hear about the turbo problems on the yellow car

Preston & Crew - All I can say is Impressive.... 8.4x is hard to compete against

Carlyle & IPS Crew - Always a good time, sorry to hear about the motor

Mike Meeks - Congrats on the DR Challenge Title

Fireball - was nice to meet you and check out the car

Ray - Sorry about the crash, Glad you walked away injury free - Cars can be fixed or replaced

And anyone else I ran into....

Here is my GoPro vid of Round 1 Bogged out of the hole - Dead Hooked 6500RPM launch down to 2250RPM (track was hooking) and then missed 3rd gear - didn't get it all the way in before letting the clutch out and it popped out of gear.

Who needs sleep? Maybe my track rental should be before the big race, not after! Good to see you get back to the strip and moving forward on the car again regardless.

It was a good time for us too, even though we couldn't get the car down the track on high boost.

It was good talking to the Ohio Boys and the LMR crew.

Congrats to the Ohio Boys for running some great passes, the car looked awesome!

THe car looked good the few times I saw it run.

On a side note.
Eric, Matt Bell mentioned your track rental on Sunday. Do you mind if we come out and play? We want to play with the tune up before the snow flies.

Badass in a cool/shitty way haha. What did you do to correct the issue? What shocks do you have front and rear? Guess you got them from Eric?

Its hard to to see but the car has a full Midwest Chassis front and rear suspension. The shocks are Afco double adjustable. To fix this we are going to adjust my ride height a little bit and then tighten the front shocks up to help control the weight transfer, might have to put travel limiters on the front. I am also going to adjust how the nitrous comes in off the line.
